I have an intethrecal pump implanted in my stomach periodically filled with fentynol. We moved from San Diego to Las Vegas about a year and a half ago. When we did I called ahead to a Pain Management office for an appointment to continue having my pump refilled. When I got there I was informed that they didn't refill pumps which is not what the lady over the phone told me when I set up the appointment. Anyways the Dr at this office informed me that Dr Miller's office was supposed to have made arrangements with the appropriate Dr in Vegas for me to continue having my pump refilled. It has to be refilled about every 2-3 months. I was in a panic because my pump was due to run out in about a week. I called Dr Miller's office and told him what the Dr In Vegas said and after a long period of being on hold they put some obviously very young, low on the totem pole employee on the phone to tell me that Dr Miller said to check myself into the nearest hospital emergency room. The wife and I scrambled around and were able to find a Dr here in Vegas that was able to keep filling my pump. Not many of them do this sort of thing so I was lucky to find one in such short notice. Dr Miller's office just tossed me aside when I moved. Obviously it still bothers me because here I am filling out this review a year and a half later. If I didn't find a Dr to fill my pump before it ran out I would have been in withdrawals until they stabilized my pump. Very scary situation. Even scarier is the Dr here in Vegas says my pump is way to high. He says I'm lucky to be alive. He says he's never seen a pump set this high. He's been turning it down 5 percent every time I see him and a year and a half later it's still to high.
