I had a great experience. The staff was amazing and very caring. When I met Dr Rahal, he was exceptional and was very professional and explained everything in detail. I am feeling so much better. I highly recommend this office am I’m thankful for Dr Rahal and his awesome staff!

My primary doctor sent me here. Dr Rahal was very business like and very uo front. The office staff And nurses we're very pleasant. I've read all the negative reviews but so far my experience had been good. Had a endoscopy for this morning and they were fabulous, quick and good. No pain or discomfort after at all.

Dr. Rahal did a colonoscopy in December during the procedure I woke up in the middle of the procedure I could hear the nurse saying "are you are ok hunny" and I could feel the doctor pulling. The doctor did not speak to me after the procedure they were in a hurry to send me home. At home I was in a lot of pain I called the Dr.many many times and was transferred to the nurse practitioner and I would leave messages. No one ever called me back. I went to my family practice Dr.to get help twice they gave me medicine for the pain. When my follow up appointment came around 3 weeks later Dr. Rahal said my intestines were " very very twisted because of all the surgeries I have had and that is why the camara would not go in and I felt pain. And there was nothing we could do about it". In January I went to another GI Dr.for a second
opinion and had another colonoscopy done to make sure I was not dying like Dr. Rahal said. And this Dr.actually spoke to the family member there, and told them my stomach was NOT twisted and gave me pictures. He also found a hernia which Dr. Rahal never told me about. If you value your live DO NOT GO TO THIS EVIL DOCTOR.

I’m not surprised at the reviews for Dr. Rahal my brother had stage four liver cancer and Dr. Rahal sent him for a CAT scan and lied to him and told him he only had one tumor and that he would be put on a waiting list for USC for a liver transplant this was on a Tuesday when Dr. Rahal gave him the diagnosis and sent him away and did nothing for him can you imagine the PAIN! That week on Thursday my brother was rushed to the hospital The ER doctor told us (the family) that my brother had so many tumors they could not count them but on Tuesday Dr. Rahal said he only had one and on Saturday he was sent home with hospice and Sunday of that week he passed away. The entire staff was rude Dr. Rahal was rude he refused to speak to the family because he was afraid of getting sued because he knows that he treats people like animals and not humans. All that matters to him is the money he could care less about how he treats individuals. I would not even take my dog to him to treat in fear that he would kill him like he did my brother.

I went to Dr. Rahals office on a referral from my insurance. I read all of the negative reviews online but I thought he can not possibly be that bad and still be practicing. I really needed a colonoscopy due to some very serious issues with a parasitic infection from a mission trip to Mexico. Upon arrival to the surgery center in serious pain and bleeding heavily following their colonoscopy preparation routine. I told his staff and their response was that they could give me an adult diaper. I sat in a chair in a gown in excruciating pain for a long time. The staff said that they would give me Bendryl to help me relax, that never happened. After a while of me sitting there crying they finally moved me to a bed. In an effort to get me to shut up they wheeled me into the exam room and knocked me out. I woke up bleeding seriously with severe pain to my rectal area and in my leg. There was definitely something very wrong and I repeatedly pleaded for them to send me to the emergency room and was ignored and dismissed with condescending remarks about how they didn’t think that anything was wrong and the emergency room visit was not warranted in their opinion. I was bleeding at a much greater degree than before and I was literally put into a wheelchair and pushed out the door crying and bleeding. The Pain was so bad, I was screaming in the car. My sister called 911, prompted by fear that this much pain and stress on my body would cause me to have another stroke, and I was taken by ambulance to Mercy hospital. I required pain meds and IV fluids and bed rest for over a week just from a colonoscopy. The ER physician stated that Dr Rahal should have indeed admitted me into emergency room. Do not use this Doctor. He does not care and neither does his staff.

Why does it take over an hour to be seen by anyone here every time I walk in here? I hate this place. Literally hours and hours waiting in the lobby.

My primary health care provider scheduled me an appointment with Dr. Paramvir Singh Rahal. In my first office visit, he personally examined me. After he evaluated me, he advised I get a endoscopy and colonoscopy. I actually ended getting 3 procedures done. However, Dr. Paramvir Singh Rahal never contacted me back or follow-up with me to discuss the exams results. He was very unprofessional about it and instead referred me to his assistant. This office has terrible professional health service and honestly I would not recommend Dr. Paramvir Singh Rahal. This office sees you not as a patient or individual and instead they see you as business and money. His staff are rude and unprofessional. I also tried obtaining a copy of my medical records and exam results and his office did not give me the adequate records and the records that were given were very vague. If you value your health and need to get any services that this Dr.provides, I highly recommend that you look elsewhere. It is not worth your health, time, and money to be seen in an office where they don't truly care about your health. Terrible service by both Dr. Paramvir Singh Rahal and his staff. Stay away from this office, not worth your health!

I had a very good experience with Dr. Rahal and staff. Office visits are longer than I like to wait, but my upper GI was done very professionally.

If you value your life, stay clear of Dr. Rahal's office. I'm a medically retired RN. I was his patient for 20 years, but as the end of November the 29th to be exact; I am no longer a patient. I almost died from his negligence. I developed a severe stool impaction & an appointment had been established to try & get this condition under control. Then his office staff called me to cancel my appointment because my appointment had been scheduled the week of Thanksgiving. I showed up as a walk-in the day I received the phone call that they were canceling my 21st of November appointment & was seen by his PA Katie, but she was downright rude as I cried & explained what was going on. She sent me to ER because an exam she ordered could not be done STAT. To make a long story short. I ended up in the ER on 4 different occasion for the same impaction issue. A person usually doesn't live beyond 4 weeks of an impaction of stool. I lived 5 weeks of this & it was pure agony. In the middle of all of this Dr. Rahal never responded to ER doc phone calls. The ER doc from Bakersfield Memorial was no help, he discharged me from hospital without allowing me to expel all feces after he loaded me up on magnesium citrate to have bowel movements. I had to call 911 to pick me up after trying to get home to Frazier Park. I had developed shortness of breath, dizziness lightheadedness & had to relieve myself on the freeway & all the way back to Memorial hospital. It was horrible & humiliating. Had I had been treated appropriately & promptly by Dr. Rahal I would not have had to go through all of this, & I'm still paying all the accumulated ER bills. But I had my chance to confront him & that I did.

I have sen Dr. Rahal twice and at first everything was great. The wait time kind of sucked but that was okay. Last week I had an appointment scheduled for Tuesday. I got a call on Monday to cancel my appointment and reschedule because Dr. Rahal was sick. I rescheduled for today. My appointment was scheduled for 2: 45 pm. I got a phone call at 12: 20pm to cancel my appointment because of some emergency. I understand having to cancel and reschedule appointments but not back to back appointments. When I asked to speak to the office manager instead of transfering me to a live person I was transferred to a voicemail. I still havent received a phone call back. I also have issues that need to be tended too. That is why I scheduled the appointment so that I can be seen. So unprofessional!

I had a routine colonoscopy the end of September this year.as I was getting ready for procedure.i noticed that my drip line wasnt working because I never got sedated.the Dr started the procedure without asking any questions.i told the staff that I could feel everything.she she did not mention to the Dr that I wasn't sedated.a week after that I ended up in the hospital with severe colitis.when I mentioned this to Dr rahal.he refused to listen to me.i will never return to his office.they just run people through like cattle.

So as I can tell this is a out for the money company. I wasn't treated as a human the only nice part was one of the nurses. Other than that I reacted to the sedation strongly and they immediately threw me in the wheelchair after the procedure and shoved me in a corner to wait for my ride. Drugged out they kept poking me telling me to wake up which eventually lead to me throwing up. Never met the doctor either. Deffiently not customer friendly. Id love to file a compliant to the BBB and I suggest everyone do so too.

Pro: P. A Katie is wonderful.
Cons: everything else

PSA: I've never written a review in my 30 years of living, but this place is extra special so I made an exception. This will be long, but I'll do my best to make it easy to read.

1. Dr. Rahal seems disinterested:
He doesn't spend a lot of time in the room, doesn't engage or show any indication he recognizes his patients as people. If you have any concerns with his instructions he will just keep repeating the same thing until you stop asking questions. Dr. Rahal is not interested in helping you find a feasable solution to your issues.

2. Scheduling:
We have had many appointments but I never timed an appointment until today.
Appointment time: 2: 15
Arrival time: 2: 04
Time called back: 3: 10
Time we aquired a room: 3: 35
Time we left: 3: 56

Please keep in mind this appointment was to go over test results. From my 5 years of experience working in various doctor offices, these appointments should be super quick, in and out appointments. And it was expedited because we asked about our call back time several times and joined another party when he complained.

3. The staff loves the blame game:
Today a gentleman in the back office complained to the office manager about his wait time. It was 30 minutes past his appointment time and he was 30 minutes early. Upon hearing he showed up early, the office manager started interrogating the man about coming early and told him if he came on time, he wouldn't have to wait so long. She then blammed him for his wait. My fathers appointment was 15 minutes before this gentleman. We showed up 15 minutes early and we're still waiting. When I said this she apologized then disappeared for 10 minutes until our room was ready.

4. Cleanliness:
Two times when I walked into an exam room, I had to change the paper covering on the exam table myself. At best, you may get a mumbled under the breath apology as the M. A does an eye roll. They also have this rushed "cleaning protocol" for busy procedure days.

Advise:

If you are thinking of having a procedure done here, don't.

If you had a procedure and need a follow up, schedule it on Monday, Wednesdays or Fridays with the P. A Katie.

Katie is professional, sweet, thorough and will take the time to answer all questions. She is the ONLY good thing about this place. Honestly, if they made three more of her and employed her car on copies at this place, this would be a VERY diffredif review.

Horrible experience. You’re treated like merchandise not a human being. He’s just there to make money not to help people. If you’re looking for quality care go somewhere else. The surgery center is a joke. No hygiene the doctors are rude most of the nurses are rude.and they try to put it on you if something goes wrong like if it’s your fault.

Update: a nurse called me to reschedule my colonoscopy since they couldn’t place an IV for the second time and I prepped in vain. The preparation is horrible. The surgery center and the main office give me different instructions of preparation that make no sense.and when I ask for clarification they are BEYOND rude. I feel so impotent to not be able to do anything about it.

Please do yourself a favor and don't go here. A routine colonoscopy took 9 hours of combined waiting time and procedure time to complete plus after waiting 2 hours for the follow up appointment I finally left. The nurse told me that they do over 40 procedures a day so customer service is definitely not their specialty, just making money is.

Don't go here if you want to live!

Seriously. My very close personal friend was diagnosed with "ulcerative colitis" and was referred here where they treated him with lots of steroids and symptoms just got worse, he had to go on disability cause he wasn't able to work in that condition and when he asked them if there was anything he could do with his diet to change the progression of his IBS/ulcerative colitis they said "yeah, diet could be a culprit"
Then they simply ignored requests for a dietician and STARTED PLANNING ON SURGERY TO REMOVE PARTS OF HIS LOWER GI TRACT.

WHAT WAS THE ISSUE?

GLUTEN. WHEAT GLUTEN SPECIFICALLY.
That's all. You know how hard it was to learn this?
Plain rice and watered down juices were all that I fed him for 3 days. Within a month the blood had all dried up. I have him eggs and soy for protein and it took a lot reading to learn what wheat gluten is and where it's hiding and all of its aliases.
GUESS WHO'S. STILL TRYING TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS FOR HIS "TREATMENT" OF EXPENSIVE PILLS AND TESTS?
