Dr. Roof - Roofing Contractor, Calabasas CA

Over the last 6 hours I have received 4 telemarketing calls this company 2 of which came from a company called Angi/Home Advisor and I have never asked to be contact for any services they called to pitch. My number is on the national DNC, I ask you contact me ASAP to settle this matter before I filed a CCPA and FTC complaint for TCPA and DNC violations.

They recently installed a new roof on our house and did excellent, high quality work at very competitive final price. The project went great and with no issues or mistakes. It was a great experience and I strongly recommend DR Roof!

DR Roof replaced the roof on our home. They were professional and a pleasure to work with. The DR Roof's team did excellent work, quickly removing the old roof, replacing damaged facia, installing new skylights/roofing/gutters, and cleaning up after each day's work. The quality is excellent and price very acceptable. I will strongly recommend them for roofing jobs!

I needed a roof replacement and it was a little urgent, I called over 5 companies and only DR Roof was available in acceptable time and they also gave me most acceptable price so I hired them immediately. They showed up on scheduled date, early in the morning and finished roof quick and quality of their work is excellent. My new roof looks great and I'm very thankful to DR Roof and would highly recommend them.

After getting a few bids to fix my roof after it started leaking, Ariel gave me the most compelling explanation of what needed to be done, and his price was fair. His team got the job done quickly, which I appreciated given that I'm sure a lot of people were chasing roofers at the time. I waited to write a review until it rained again (had to be sure!) and now I can officially say that the repair was a success! Ariel was easy to communicate with and very friendly. Much appreciated!

We hired this company to fix the flat roof that was leaking into our bedroom. It went very badly. From the very beginning, communication was lacking. No one ever told us when they were coming or what they were doing. Everything they itemized in their estimate/work order, they didn't do. The materials they said they'd use? They didn't. The tiles they said they'd replace? They tried to glue broken ones together instead (see photos). The gutters they said they'd clean and reroute? Nope. They also got silicone and tar all over our skylights, stained the fascia boards, broke tiles. The single most important thing they said they would do was fix the flat roof and create proper drainage by adding a slope. That did not happen either.

By the end, one of the owners had to come out to assess the situation in person. He promised they'd fix the work that, he agreed, had been done improperly. We gave them an opportunity to fix the problems. We had hoped that perhaps it would all get resolved. Some things were addressed. But the most critical issues were not. The final result has been a roof that actually drains WORSE than it did before. See for yourself in the photos. Two days after our last rain and water pools everywhere, just sitting. Not draining at all. And, of course, the roof is still leaking into our bedroom. So now we're out the $7k this company charged us. And we're having to get estimates for another company to demolish everything Dr. Roof did and start over to fix it properly.

We're exploring where to file the proper complaints for a refund.

I called Dr roof after I have gotten two other estimates. Dr roof offered better warranty and services.they were also the lowest estimate. I agreed to have Dr roof do a complete roof replacement.singles that is. I was told the job would take two days.after the second day, I came home from work, to find a new roof and everything cleaned up as though no one was ever there. I was told that I had some wood rot.and those needed to be replaced.after receiving the bill Dr roof still beat both the other estimates, even with the replaced wood. I highly recommend Dr roof for your remodeling.

We needed to replace our roof after a series of strong wind storms but we were having some issues getting our insurance company to pay for the full cost of replacing the roof. So we were tasked with getting a few estimates from roofers. Many of the roofers we called gave our roof a cursory glance and told us they couldn’t do the partial replacement suggested by our insurance company. Some of the roofers we called refused to come to the house to give us an estimate and some never even returned our call!

But Dr. Roof gave our roof a thorough examination and told us that even though it was best to replace the entire roof that they would work with us if the insurance company refused. Armed with their estimate, we were able to go back to our insurance company and get the full amount.

Even though we didn't get back to them for a few months, when we called to set up a date to choose the tiles we wanted and get the ball rolling, they were available the very next day. The day after that they started work removing the existing shingles and by the end of the following day the new roof was in place! The entire job was done in essentially two days!

The workmen men were very professional too. They took measures to make sure nothing got into our pool and protected the plants we had around the house. When they were done, they cleared out all the debris so well that the area was cleaner than it was when they arrived! I would definitely recommend this company-they were fast, professional, did great work, took care of all the permits, AND not only did they stick to their original estimate, it was also among the lower ones we received! You just can’t go wrong with these guys!

Do not hire this company! They did not pull a city permit as their contract states because they thought they could get away with substandard work. They were caught nailing shingles to the roof incorrectly. They did not nail a radiant plywood barrier on the frame of the roof as required and or within the 9 inches allowed by city code. I have nails sticking out through the wood decking over an inch with some decking split due to the improper nailing. City code states that an inspection must be done after sheeting is applied before underlayment and shingles go up. When they were called on these issues, Gil, the CEO, was rude and insolent over the phone. They will be reported to the state contractors license board for not complying with city codes and permits. They also did not order the correct shingle and nailed the shingles they were using with too small of a nail that does not meet manufacturer specifications nor city code. After the contractor left this reply, Gil stated in an email that they are not certified to put on the shingles that I currently have on my roof, CertainTeed. He also told me that I must pay for the city code corrections issued by the city inspector after a permit was finally pulled. I have since filed a complaint with the contractor's state license board. After doing this, I got a call from their attorney to take down my reviews and they would just refund me my money. They have left my grassed yard full of roofing debris and my driveway filled and blocked with roofing material and an open roof that needs to be completed. It will take 4-6 weeks to hire another qualified contractor to complete the roof. I guess they pay people off to keep their 5 star rating.
