Dr. Victor V. Kitt, MD, Bakersfield CA

I've had a dry cough over 10 years. My dr referred me to this guy to see of maybe I had nasal drip down to my esophagus which would be the reason for my cough.
He walks in, asks my girlfriend who she is and why she's here.then asked why I'm here. I told him. And he said he can't do anything because a cough starts down here (as he motions around his chest)
I told him well I literally feel it on my esophagus. He just says he won't be able to help. So I said well if you can't do anything then I'll just leave. So I left. On my way out I mentioned to my gf that the terrible reviews were right. The receptionist laughed. She knows how terrible he is.

I went in for him to check my ears.
Instead he checked my ears by pulling each ear and my head really hard he also sticked a hair dryer put it on low in my ear, and that the wax " will melt". He checked my nose and throat with that same tube when I had no problem in my nose nor my throat, just my ears
Waste of my time and I'm never going back to him again

I was sent to Dr. Kitt Due to having reoccurring tonsillitis. At first I was nervous due to the reviews but that quickly changed. All of my interactions with Dr. Kitt was very well, he heard me out as a patient and informed me of everything that I needed to know from beginning to end. After my surgery everything was great, I recovered quickly with no complications. Dr. Kitt is very straightforward about everything and overall great doctor, I highly recommend him for a tonsillectomy.

Told me it was in my head without even looking.
Went somewhere else where they checked. Turns out I had a sinus infection.
Go somewhere else and don't sign anything.

Dr. Kitt has operated on my nose on two occasions and the truth is that everything is very good with him.

Do Not Go Here. This Dr. Is rude and unprofessional. He asked what was wrong and I explained to him. Then he automatically starts screaming saying what am I here for if I already know what's wrong. When I tried to explain more he said that I'm not a doctor. He even told me I don't know what I'm talking about and instead of actually doing his job he just tried to prescribe Allergy Pills for a WHOLE YEAR.
FIND SOMEBODY BETTER, DO NOT WASTE YOURE TIME.

If I could rate him anything less, I would. I had heard stories but never thought that I would have to go to him and because of insurance purposes,
I had no choice. I myself work in the medical field and have worked with many doctors. I had never met a doctor as rude, careless and full of himself as he is. I was literally in the room with my son for less than 5 minutes. The second I mentioned that his dentist had seriously recommended that he see an ENT, he laughed and said he doesn't respect dentists. Didn't care to even evaluate my son to create his own opinion. Don't waste your time going there. On the other hand, the staff seemed nice and friendly. I don't know how they can work with this man.

I've had chronic sinusitis for 2 years now and some days are better than others. I went to my appointment with him on one of my good days and explained to him and on the paper that I have trouble breathing smelling I have had headaches to the point I had to go to the hospital and I've taken various medications and nothing has helped. He saw that I could breathe from both nostrils and said "I treat what I see today" and kept talking over me. Told me that "he's not a magician that it's a process" even though I've been threw various processes with different medications and doctors. Then he gave me a sample of a over the counter allergy pill (2 capsules) that I have to buy myself at Walmart or amazon and told me to take that kind of medicine and I should feel better along with some infection medicine that I was already prescribed by a different doctor that I explained to him didn't work. He told me to to take it anyways and he'll see me next time

Dr Kitt was great. He's old school type of doctor that gets to the point and is disappointed if you don't take care of yourself. I've had other doctors that try to be your bestie and coddle you, you don't get that here. Dr Kitt spent a good amount of time teaching me about my condition and never dumbed down the language. He's highly educated and I appreciated his explanation. I look forward to my follow up.
