Dragon's Den, Carlsbad CA

I liked it! We were a little late to get a table or order from the bar, so ended up getting room service. It was in our room within 10 minutes. 10 MINUTES! Everything was yummy and was impressed to see better kids options on the menu and not just the standard beige food they’re offered. It would have been worthy of 5 stars but my bean burger was a bit well-done.

I was here on Monday, we got here at 1024am, they told us that we only had 30 minutes for the buffet to close but we could stay and eat, but by the time I served my coffee and prepared my bagel the whole place was cleaned. One of my children was able to get a slide of watermelon and a waffle, the other one a banana with chocolate chip pancakes, the other one burned hash brown and bancon, so by the time we wanted to refill drinks and get something else everything was gone by 1050, one of the waiters asked us to leave, we couldn't finish what we had left. No one was at the desk to file a complaint, the cashier was gone just a couple of guys cleaning the floors. By the way the bananas were rotten inside, like something smashed them

Lunch yesterday and breakfast today.both horrible food. The hamburger at lunch was way overcooked, burnt pieces broke off. For the breakfast buffet, the food was bland and cold. The French toast tasted like pieces of bread.

Pizza was what you would call, “so-so. ”

Grandma would complain constantly about the flavor.

The food wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It's very expensive, and not high quality, but better than fast casual food quality. I highly recommend reservations for any and all meals you plan to have there. It gets busy and if you don't want to wait, make reservations ahead of time. The atmosphere was fun and on theme. It could use a good cleaning. It was convenient to sit at a table by the outdoor area and let the kids play on the playground while we waited for the food to arrive. They have an amazing outdoor patio, but weren't using it. They also let you order and take beverages to go so you can sit and watch the kids outside. While it's expensive and not great quality, it is very convenient to land here at the end of a long day at Legoland.

Slightly overpriced but I expected that being at the Legoland hotel. Other than that it was a fun dinner. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was excellent. I would come again next time I visit Legoland.

Never get your hopes up for amazing food at a theme park. I will say the cheese burger surprised me. It was flavorful and with two pattys, HUGE! Great kids selection. The wait staff is friendly and helpful with the kids. Love that the tables have games so we can play as a family while waiting for food.

It's pretty fun that they have an area full of Legos that the kids can play with while you're waiting in line for your reservation. However, you have to wait quite a while to get in for your reservation, so that's annoying. It seems like they couldn't keep up with the food. Kind of cruise ship food. Lots of quantity, but skimping on the quality.

Absolutely awful service and a huge disappointment tonight. Sadly we will NOT be going back during our stay. It's not the price it's the horrendous service. It was painful to get drink refills and when I asked the manager he was defensive. Food order wasn't right and it took another 20 min to fix it. I just don't understand there are SO many servers gathered together standing around and service was horrendous. Thanks for ruining our first night here. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money. Order take out and sit on the patio is our plan from here on out.

It's definitely a kid's place with the kids atmosphere. If you like Legos it's great. The food is good for a destination place. We enjoyed the kids shows available after dinner.

Burger patties over cooked, pre-formed, thin and basic. Kids meal burger looked like it was sitting around for a day before they served it.it was hard and the bread was hard too. Sent it back. I got a small cup of beer. It was $14. More than 1 screaming crying child in there made it hard to enjoy the bland and low quality hotel-food meal. It's really not a place to go if you want good food or fair prices. The Lego stuff inside was novel but we can see that anywhere in the park. You can get a better burger at the Carl's Jr. 2 minutes down the road and not get stuck with a $150 bill with no dessert. No frills. No thrills. Never again. They must only survive because people don't read these reviews who stay at this hotel. Hotel itself seems nice. Avoid the Dragon's Den.

It is way too overpriced, which is fine because of location but food is not even close to a low grade cheapest restaurant I have ever visited. Salamon we ordered was too oily. Rice in kids meal were not even chewable, it felt like they were pretty old and just microwaved before serving. Drink my wife ordered was just ice.
One star given is just for legos kept in the restaurant which keeps the kids occupied.

Menu is slightly over priced, but to be expected as dinning the LegoLand Castle Resort. Friendly service, extremely kid friendly, kid entertainment, fun decor, and food was actually pretty tasty. We had NY Steak (mashed potatoes are amazing), The Dragon Burger, kids steak, & kids Mac n cheese.

We stayed at the Legoland Castle so wanted to try dinner dine-in at this restaurant. You'll need to do reservations. Even with a 5: 30pm reservation, check-in was not quick nor seamless as I thought it would be. The food came out quick but overall they were only okay (kids salmon with rice, meat lovers flatbread, pepperoni pizza, chicken salad). The portions were reasonable. For 4 entrees, we paid almost $100. Regardless of their service, they automatically charged 18% tip in the bill without telling the customers. That's what we didn't like about the restaurant. However, their morning breakfast buffet style is something we really enjoyed.

We had a great time! Kids played in the lego pit while we waited a very short time for our food. Quality food and drinks, attentive service from Janelle, she was awesome! Best service we've had from a hotel or resort in years! Not kidding, ask for Janelle's area, she takes great care of her customers with a smile!

Janelle was our server and she was so absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable, personable, and attentiveness was at the forefront of her mind when tending our table. They were incredibly busy with a thousand kids running around and she always had a smile. I was given an outdated menu and unfortunately ordered a drink from it. However, she made it a point to go out of her way to make sure I got it. She made amazing recommendations, and made sure our experience was one to be talked about for years to come. We'll absolutely be back, and we will absolutely bring friends and family amd request her personally. Thank you Janelle for everything!

Made a lunch reservation for my two sons 5 and 7 and me for 12: 45. We were seated at 1: 15 and our food came at 1: 45. The place was mostly empty. Server seemed harried. She got the order completely wrong, but we ate it anyway as the kids were famished. Manager refused to provide discount. Bad form. Good place to chill out from the park though.
