Had a great experience with Rahel - first time at this location. Appointment started right on time and my hair came out perfectly. I get a lot of blow outs and have high expectations. Rahel did not disappoint! Hair looked, smelled, and felt great!

I live in Manhattan and love Dry Bar, so while in SF wanted to get a blowout. I arrived on time to be told they were running 10-15 minutes behind, but it was actually 30 minutes past my appointment time before they were ready for me. You'd think they offer something, for being 30 minutes late for a 1 hour appointment, but they didn't (and I didn't ask).

The stylist did a really great job, I left with my hair looking just how I wanted (curled) but it didn't last, within 2 hours it was completely straight. I let her know how difficult my naturally straight hair is to keep curled and asked for as much product as possible. In NY, I never have this issue, the blowout last for 2-3 days.

Tamia is my favorite! She really understand and promotes healthy hair. Plus, my hair has never been so silky smooth!

Always live this place. Very easy going and simple. Great staff and good blow dry in all of their locations

Super nice and on time although my curls fell completely flat within the next hour. I went back to them and they fixed them nicely for my event.

For my first blowout for a special occasion, I was disappointed. Throughout the process I had hairs that kept getting pulled out after I mentioned my hair breaks easily. My hair was not styled anywhere close to what I wanted, neither was my friends. I didn't think beach waves were hard? She had to askif I wanted hairspray (ummm YES) then she barely touched my hair with hairspray and my curls fell out in the next hour. Could've done my own hair better. At the end of the night I found a clump of hair in the back that couldn't be brushed through.

My stylist was very sweet. Everyone was courteous. My complaint is I told her I wanted volume and curly/wavy hair that needed to last a few days. I have fine and flat hair by nature. She did well on the curls, but my volume on the top of my head was flat and bent weird. The more she tried to fix it the worse it got. I finally told her it was fine to get out of there. I will have to fix it myself before my event this evening. I get my hair blowed out every week. I have never experienced this. I won’t return.

I am absolutely shocked that this DryBar location has the reviews it has they should be at 5 stars because honestly that’s what they deserve. I have been to other DryBar’s around the nation and was amazed by the service I received today. I was greeted by the receptionist and shorty taken back for my blow dry service with Heather. She was absolutely amazing and highly recommend her. She was nice, attentive and not to mention left my hair looking fabulous. Her colleagues were also friendly and had some great convo with all of them. An overall excellent experience and when I return to San Fran I will definitely be stopping in.

I am a huge fan of Dry Bar. For the past six years or so I have gone to the Del Mar, CA location at least once a week unless I'm out of town in which case I always try to find a Dry Bar in whichever city I am in. I have therefore been to many locations nationwide. There's always music and a great vibe at every location.

But this location has such EXTREMELY blaring loud music it is deafening, overbearing, obnoxious and uncomfortable. I've been to concerts and clubs that are not this loud. Everyone has to scream to check in, and say what you want for your hairstyle. I did not enjoy being in this store because it's just wayyy too loud. If any of the other Dry Bars were this so eardrum bursting loud I'd never go into a store.

I made an appointment online several days ago for me and my daughter. Our appointment was at 11.30am. So far they are 20 minutes late thereby subjecting us to extra time in this headache creating, booming, ear splitting environment.

I hope the hairdressers do a good job. Will update after my appointment is finished but so far I am very unimpressed with this location.

UPDATE
12.00pm. Half an hour late so far.

Now they are saying it will be another half hour making them an hour late for our appointments at least. And we wouldn't know this if we didn't ask. Disgusting customer service. Not what I've experienced at other Dry Bars. The receptionist seemed annoyed that I would dare to ask how much longer. Absolutely no respect for people's time. The very least they could have done was told us they were running an hour late when we checked in. We are leaving. Alli Webb should be ashamed of this location. They are not living up to the high standards and excellent customer service/ experiences of her 99 other stores

I get blow outs all the time, and am confident saying this place is TERRIBLE! I can say by far the worst experience for both my daughter and I. They are fresh out of beauty school and have no clue how to blow dry and style hair. Not to mention my stylist was rude! Both my daughter and I left there terrified our hair was damaged. We went back to our hotel room and washed our hair. Went to another salon the next day called "Cowboys and Angels" to get a proper blow out. Don’t waste your time or money at the Dry Bar Union Square! Ask for Oscar or Leslie at Cowboys and Angels you will leave there happy!
