Duarte Shoe Repair

Took a pair of work boots to get resoled. Got a text two days later that his heat-related my boots. I then was offered store credit for my inconvenience. After my objections to that was given less then 50% of cost of new pair. I should of known when i saw how cluttered and messy store was. Horrible experience

I had taking 3 pairs of shoe to get fixed. He gives me a date for a week after I drop off my shoes to be fix. Which was okay. I go to pick up my shoes on that date and they aren't ready. So okay. And its like two days later and am heading to an event. And he telling me that the shoes are ready. And that I can pick them up. And I replied I was gona try. But, I was running late to get to an event. So it slip my mind about the shoes. And then the shop owner send me another message about. " asking if am on my way cause he needed to close early due to a personal matter. So I dont believe I responded. Because at this point am at the event. I come in that next Saturday. To pick up my shoes. And he make repairs that I didnt ask for and he didnt even call me or text for permission to do. And during this period I had ask the shop worker to make a copy of a key. I get home and try to use the key and it doesnt work. I go back to the shop and tell him the key doesnt work in stead of him making me a new key. The shop worker decide to scrape down the key with a knife. Hands me the key back. And says it's gonna work. I get home the key doesn't work. I go back and return the key cause it useless to me. And he only gives me some of my money back. Because he said due to wasted materials. Who's problems is that. But, at this point I was so over it. I took what he gave me. For the return of the key. But, I promise he wont get my Business ever again. He's worried about waste materials, but what about my wasted gas return back to his shop for shoes that wasn't ready and my key that didn't work twice. Just poor customer service.
