Dulzura Vineyard and Winery reviews
8Had an awesome experience in the tasting room with Grant. He was very welcoming and gave honest feedback about all of his wines. The whites this year are quite good and a few of them I had never tried before! We bought a few bottles and will definitely be coming back!
Absolutely delicious wine. Some really excellent whites, especially the ones from the oak barrels. Really interesting and knowledgeable owner who told us all about the vineyards and how long the land has been in his family. Will be stopping by again.
Great place to spend a night or two and enjoy some great house wine. Beautiful sceneries and total quietness.
We spend a great afternoon there, wines are amazing and the host is very kind. We can’t wait to return.
Bring with you lunch, there is a beautiful picnic area. Great place to spend a relax day with family and friends.
Perfect little winery, located beautifully and Grant & Sarah are perfect hosts. And let’s not forget the amazing wines!
Great little winery in our local country side of southern California. Wines are really good and love the dessert wine. Wife and I had great time and only 25 minutes from Imperial Beach. Drive out by otay lakes if you want some great scenery for an extra 20 minutes. Support our local wineries.
Our day at Dulzura Winery was a perfect day. We hiked the trails behind the winery, then had a wine tasting followed by a lovely afternoon sipping wine on the patio. While the company (some of my best friends) enhanced the day, Grant and his wife helped us to feel at home. Dulzura vineyard also offered some of the best wine I’ve had in San Diego. I will definitely come back again.
Stayed at the guesthouse with my husband and stepdaughter. Place was advertised as appropriate for 3 people and a cleaning fee was charged. Upon arrival we were told that the cleaning fee would be raised from $20 to $200 because we had a child with us. Dishwasher overflowed and we needed to mop the entire kitchen. Despite the cleaning fee we were expected to do all the dishes (loading the dishwasher was not sufficient), clean the floor, and take out the trash. If you book here, watch out for large hidden fees and dishonest hosts who will offer extra linens as courtesy and then charge for them. The wines are decent, especially the Riesling. The guesthouse is not recommended and as a US immigrant I did not feel that it was the most welcoming environment.
