Dumpling Baby China Bistro reviews
21We had clearly asked for Teriyaki Chicken Buns and they clearly served us pork buns and when we asked they said it’s BBQ Chicken Buns but there is no BBQ Chicken buns so I don’t even know what the person was talking about?
Delicious food and good serving sizes. We ordered takeout and it was fast and fresh. Definitely recommend! We'll be back.
Incredibly delicious, fresh, flavorful, and vibrant take out. Was blown away by the quality!
Food was a little greasy but otherwise very flavorful. Service was excellent woman at cash register was so friendly, even with a slight language barrier.
The building was ran down and dining area looked like someone's garage
Great little spot for a quick bite or takeout! We got our moneys worth of food. It’s a order yourself and eat, so you aren’t going for service or ambiance but the food was tasty
Absolutely wonderful food
Had this delivered by uber eats and was not disappointed delivered on time and by a very pleasant driver.
Food was piping hot and delicious, good sized portions too.

The food is fine; it’s very clear all their dumplings and XLB stuff are from frozen which is fine but i’ve def had better frozen brands LOL.the eggplant was pretty solid, honey sesame chicken was good, shanghai baby noodles were a good texture! Best thing this place has to offer is portion size/value, but flavor wise it’s quite mid </3.not really any indoor seating; just designed for takeout!
Food was very yummy and the gluten free options were good. No issues for this sensitive celiac.
I order takeout here regularly through their website and it is awesome! Really tasty and great portions - for one person, two entrees feed me 3+ meals, which is great for having extra stir fry veggies around to use later. Highly highly recommend!
One thousand times YES.came here for proximity purposes.but honestly might eat here for the rest of the trip and thankfully we can eat it again because the portions were HUGE and it barely looked like the 2 of us made a dent after stuffing our faces.the crispy honey sesame chicken is deliciously crunchy and addicting.shanghai chubby noodles hit the spot.and the crab cheese rangoons were packed with cream cheese and flavor then fried to perfection.the sauce on the chicken is made to order and wish we would have requested more- it's delicious! Definitely a good spot for take-out, since there aren’t many options for sitting inside.i cannot say enough good things about this place.all i know is that we'll be coming back.
Honey Sesame Chicken entree was large (enough for two) and quite tasty! A good value overall.
Seems like they had an active take out and delivery business as well. -
Food here is disgustingly horrible.i ordered the “chubby shanghai” noodles and “dumplings in chilli oil”
I like that this place has a lot of gluten free options which isn't always the easiest to find within the SF Chinese food. Of the food that I've tried, here are my thoughts.
Yum - salt & pepper shrimp, shrimp dumplings, lumpia, honey chicken, and sesame balls were all delicious.
Just ok - fried rice, eggplant, green beans. I had to doctor the fried rice because it had very little seasoning.
Delicious take-out spot, some of the only gluten free dumplings and lumpia I’ve found. Really nice staff as well!
Chili oil dumplings are delicious. Generous portions for your money. You’ll have leftovers:).
Best Chinese food in the city! Would definitely recommend the chubby noodles over anything. They only have carry out right now sadly no dine in yet.
I only tried the soup dumplings which were yummy. They got the job done. There isn't really a space made for dining onsite but they let me sit and eat anyways. Maybe it was just an off time. I'm definitely going to try again and hopefully more items
Very salty! Ordered the bbq pork buns and crisply noodle. First taste the sauce from the crispy noodle.it was so salty so I try mixed the sauce with noodle to eat together. No, still too salty. The buns is not good too. So I don’t not recommended.
One of the best places I've had for good quality food but with extremely large quantities. Without a doubt this place is a must try if you enjoy good authentic Chinese dishes and employ the college mentality of large quantities is ideal
As a whole, I only came here because I saw a friend check in and this was my first meal of the day and couldn't really find anything I craved so I walked over here and thought it would be a sit down location. It wasn't. Even so, it bad because their mapo tofu and dragon fried rice was so well made that I couldn't understand how the amount felt like a few lbs each
Overall, the food was heavy which made me happy but the real winner was how well each dish was made too. The meal was shared between both my friend and I but we barely made a dent in the meal. Personally the mapo tofu paired really well with the rice and it wasn't too spicy either which made the dish enjoyable for all. It did also have a umami flavor with the fermented beans that helped to mellow the spicy flavors. Just the mapo tofu alone I would come back and their tofu is a bit more on the firm side which breaks the soft tofu convention but matches how I prefer tofu so something to consider
TL;DR great food and absolutely massive amounts of food, must try
