I had a telehealth consultation with Dr. Turner. I was very impressed with his knowledge, disposition and unrushed schedule, allowing me to ask many questions and receive complete answers.

Several years ago, I consulted Dr. Turner for a second opinion. I had cystic ovaries confirmed by ultrasound and was told by another physician that I needed incisional surgery to remove my ovaries and that I had a 30%-40% of cancer. I went to Dr. Turner for a second opinion. Dr. Turner examined me and performed another ultrasound in his office. No sending me off to another facility and no waiting. At that point, he told me I had a 2%-3% chance of there being cancer. I shall never forget the relief that I felt when he told me this! I welcomed his calm, kind, reassuring manner and I was spared days/weeks of worry and an invasive surgery. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Turner removed my ovaries laparoscopically, same day surgery, and I was back at work within days with MINIMAL discomfort.

When I see Dr. Turner for my yearly pelvic exam, I appreciate that he addresses the spectrum of women’s health, such as weight (BMI, body fat %, etc.), my general health (heart, lungs, bowel, etc.), my mental/emotional health. An ultrasound is included in the exam, if needed. He takes his time with me. And, if I am feeling at all anxious, he senses that and both verbally and non-verbally manages to put me at ease.

At this point in time, I have been Dr. Turner's patient for over 20 years. I recommend Dr. Turner to my friends frequently, singing his praises as I do so!
