I'm up from Mexico so, naturally, my coded key broke and was lost on the floor of Trader Joe's in PB.

Dup-A-Key was able to get me on the road again.

Everyone was very professional and when the first guy did not have the proper equipment he made sure that as soon as the guy who did cleared his call that I got taken care of.

Been there a few times for car fob programming, and house keys. I’ve always dealt with Dylan, and he’s an absolute pleasure to work with. He’s extremely knowledgeable, honest, and does quick work. I’ll definitely come back for more work, aswell as refer out.

I always go to Dup A Key in Pacific Beach when we need extra keys made. They recently installed a keyless lock to my front door. All very easy and seamless. The locksmith was experienced and very professional.

I called in last minute to get an appointment, and though they did not have room initially they squeezed me in.

These guys are phenomenal. I worked with Vince. Super patient, very straight-forward and down to earth. Vince was able to roll through multiple troubleshooting steps like clockwork.

I think this service is more than fairly priced for the level of care you get.

Got duplicates made for my vintage AMC automobile. One of the only places in San Diego that does classic car keys.

Staff was super helpful and got my keys made quickly. Pricing was excellent.

There is a parking lot, but its mostly taken up by the hoodlums that hang out at the ice cream shop. Had to find street parking. Nothing they can do about that.

Ill definitely return if I need any keys or locksmith work.

I went here to get an apartment key and building fob duplicated. The building fob they made works great, has no issues, and was priced well. However the duplicated apartment key would not fit into the lock. I returned to DUP-A-KEY and the guy working was nice and reviewed the duplicate key/original and said the cut was not done well and made me a new copy. I was impressed by their customer service when I left the shop. When I returned to my apartment, my original key no longer worked and the duplicate also did not work which caused me to be locked out of my apartment. I had to have a locksmith come to my apartment and make a new key. The locksmith stated that they bent the tip of my original key when it was duplicated the second time which caused it to no longer work and the duplicated key they provided was not cut properly. The $8 dollar key I paid for here ended up costing me an additional $115 to resolve the mistakes.

I've been to this location quite a few times for keys to my car and home.
They are always very helpful and friendly.

Most recently they helped me get a key for scooter that was lost.
They came to my home and were able to get a new one in an hour.
It was super convenient and I appreciate everyone at this location.

They have a lot of great key and keychain options.

Also they have parking spaces on site.
