Dynasty Garden Restaurant reviews
21The food is great but I’m saddened that they do not serve everything on their dim sum menu since Covid
Absolutely disgusting! Chicken chow mein was undercooked, zero flavor and on top of that, the boss refused to give me a refund or make me another order! Stay far away from this dump!
Came here with my friends and the waitresses were so nice and kept checking in on us. Food was great aswell, lots of yummy choices to choose from
I ordered a Chow fun and the onion in my chow fun was bad it taste bad and smelled bad. I brought it up to the server and he asked if I wanted to replace it I said yes. He brings it back but without onion! This dish is great with onion, why did they do that? Well he told me cause this way I don’t complain about a bad onion! The sarcasm was not appreciated therefore I was very unsatisfied with how this was handled. He could’ve just cut a fresh onion and added it to my dish! My chow fun did not taste the same and considering it’s one of my favorite places to eat I sure am going to reconsider. I’m there cause food is great I was really hungry and looking forward to today and Now what?
Expensive, food was tasteless and plain. No vegetables in chow mein or rice. The meat dishes only had meat and onions. I was so disappointed because l had heard they were very good.
I've loved this place since the day we met.and as a guy who routinely drove from Sacramento to SF and LA for great dim sum for years.this was a shock at first. The shrimp are so fresh and the chicken is identifiable and the vegetables always look and taste like there's a garden out back. It is NEARLY PERFECT. I say that with sadness because before the pandemic IT WAS PERFECT.to the point friends and family from up to 120 miles away would make pilgrimages and Dynasty DimSum runs.but then the baked items disappeared.which was supposed to be temporary.and the prices began an upward creep.and now instead of twice a week visits it's about 3 times a month.due to economics and missing baked BBQ pork bao and several others.don't get me wrong.their steamed dimsum is to die for.there just seems to be much less made or available.it's amazing WHEN THEY HAVE DIM SUM LEFT after 11am.
I highly recommend it and genuinely love this place.the service is always great and the cleanliness is constant.
Best Asian food in Modesto. Time after time, the food is excellent and I’m never disappointed. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable. My go to for gatherings or take out.
Always keep your promise to your customers. If you say food will be ready for pick up within 15mins.then it should be ready.
Dynasty is one of the best kept gems in Modesto, there is truly no place like it. My partner and I moved away for 3 years and could not find anything like the quality and variety of Chinese food and Dim Sum that Dynasty has. So thrilled to come back years later and have the food quality, quantity, fast and friendly help still be the same if not better years later.
Recommendations when you go visit Dynasty, BBQ Pork Buns (#7) and their Garlic Chicken entree. Absolute knock outs.
I dont know what happened but the food is not as tasty and flavorful as before, no longer our favorite place to eat.
We've loved the food here for years, but last night all 10 of us agreed that we were so surprised by the quality and flavor. We ordered 2 double orders of appetizers and 8 entrees, some double, and only 3 tasted good enough to eat - honey walnut prawns, lemon chicken and beef chow mein. The fried rice, orange chicken, sweet n sour pork, sauteed broccoli, and veg chow mein were left at the end. We've come here at least a dozen times over the years, used to the amazing flavor and freshness. What happened?
This restaurant is so incredibly kind, we ordered on Christmas day not realizing they closed early and when we got there the wait was about an hour. This was fine, we understood that Christmas is a busy day for Chinese restaurants and weren't put out. Our order turned out to be the very last one and when we went to pay they insisted on giving us our order for free to apologize for the wait. We explained that it was okay and were willing to pay, but they wouldn't hear it. Just shows the kind of character that the owners have and made us even more loyal.
As for the food, it's fantastic. The chow mein especially is wonderful! The staff here are kind and attentive when dining in and the service is very quick.
We ordered five dishes and they were all excellent. I don't remember chow mein tasting so good, it was loaded with bites of chicken and veggies. We've added Dynasty to our lists of local favorites.
This is my favorite Chinese food in Modesto! Good food and huge portions, friendly staff, and good service!
Finally found the perfect Chinese restaurant in the Central Valley. Sorry but we ate everything soon as the food arrived. We had fried rice, green beans, salt & pepper chicken wings, chow mein, and for dim sum: black beans spare ribs, sticky rice w/ minced beef - all ending w/ the coconut jello. Thank you Scott for making our new go to in Modesto Definitely recommend!
This is my first visit here and on Sunday they do dim sum 11 to 3 and if I could eat for that long, I would’ve stayed! There is not a bad item on this menu, and the food is exceptionally fresh! Beats every place I’ve ever eaten it in San Francisco!
It’s a shame, it was my favorite Chinese food place, but oh brother; on Monday they gave me expired slimy shrimp.man I should of known not to eat them with the rice since they tasted funny. I have the worst stomach bug ever! My stomach is so messed up, I’m literally dying of food poisoning. Thank you you pieces of ****! This is the only thing I ate Monday, since I work nights. And boy I feel sick.
Fresh food. Outstanding customer service - they treat everyone the same and you feel like family.
The lady at the counter was really hard to understand.
The house chicken was overcooked.
On my Togo order I asked for fried rice and chow mein. Instead of gving me a portion of each separated like most Chinese restaurants, they piled one on top of the other.
The fried wontons were way overcooked.
Will I come back for a second visit, probably not.
This place is busy, and I can see why. Their Chinese food is delicious. This is a real restaurant with quality ingredients. It's a real find. (Closed on Tuesdays).
