Dzui's Cakes and Desserts reviews
15Was looking for some banh trang tron and recommended to this place by my foodie buddy. Of all the btt I’ve eaten in San Jose and I’ve tried lot, this one is by far the best and to me taste closer to what’s in vietnam. The flavors were better and the quality was amazing. All the other btt I’ve tried in sj seem like they’re from the same person. This one tasted different with way more topping and cheaper too. You have to give this cafe a try they have a lot of stuff I will try in the future.
Lovely family and lovely goodies and food.
Very very caring people. Thank god. People need people like you on thus planet and especially in America
I like how there are lots of durian options here. I got the durian cake and durian pancakes. The durian part of the cake and pancake was okay. The most disappointing was the durian madness drink. It didn't taste like durian: (
Cute shop. This shop reminds me of those coffee shops bank in Vietnam, serving delicious trending street snacks and drinks.
Lots of tables, indoor and outdoor. Each seating is spacious so as to fit big groups, such as 4-8 people, because Vietnamese people like to hang out with friends and family.
The food and drinks are delicious. I personally like Ha cao Sai Gon because it tastes just like what I had in HCMC when I was in middleman school. Reminds me of old times. The fried pan cakes are a bit sweet, not enough soy sauce. Avocado ice cream is good according to my husband because it’s literally a dish originally from his hometown, Da Lat. The drinks, mung bean milk, Dau Ma & matcha latte are all good.
We came in after dinner time, so most of the dishes are sold out already. I’d like to try their pastries next time.
Have heard of this dessert shop for some time and finally give it a try. Cons: the bakery items are not labeled so you can only choose based on the looking; SA can not introduce the food well. The item has abstract names but they can only give very basic main ingredient introduction. Pros: they sells seasonal bakery items like moon cakes; They also have meat pie similar to Chinese 鲜肉月饼 (Taste is a little different though) ; They have meat floss rolls similar to (肉松卷) but used cream cheese as filling, not bad. We also get the coconut dessert drink, have no idea what’s inside but it tastes good.
I am come to this store all the time to get all my favorite desserts and the drinks, and every time I buy never spend less than $100. But this time very made me disappointed… I bought two of the Durian Sponge Cake they are tastes spoiled I have to throw them all.
Durian madness doesn't have much durian, not me.
Lots of bakery they I can try, but there are lots of flies in the store. Kinda gross
Remember to check your receipt on the spot! They gave me 4 crepes which is what I ordered but charged for 8. The worst thing is, their phone never get through.
Would give 0 star if I could. Non-Vietnamese, don’t come if you don’t want to ruin your day, store owner super racist and give totally different attitude to Vietnam speakers - vs if you can’t speak or understand it. They let ppl cut in line and tease you, and they say ‘that’s how I do my business’ if you try to argue.
Plus flies are running everywhere in the store, I saw couple climbing on desserts. Not to mention a lot more are flying around at the store front.
No hand soup, no toilet paper, no paper tower in the bathroom, imagine how they treated your food!
Never coming back. Period.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated (nice decorations), delicious food (delicious food).
Apparently this store allows Vietnamese speaking people to cut the line and they would argue with you when you point that out. We got that treatment twice. Worst service and boarder-line racist IMO. Really a shame they have great bread. If you don’t speak Vietnamese then you should have that keep in mind. Really ruins your morning lol
This spot reminds me of Vietnam the instant I open the door from it's interior decor to the playlists being played. I also have some slight struggle with eating durian in general but I enjoy being engulfed in the smell inside this establishment. My wife and I always end up getting the Spicy toasted bread, mung bean milk with durian, and passion-berry tea, as well as the rice paper salad. I definitely recommend this place!
It was packed tonight. I got the Taro Milk tea and the OMB Tea. The Taro tea wasn’t blended enough. I still taste some bits. The OMB tea just wasn’t of my tasting. It didn’t taste good.
12/09. I bought 2 boxes of crepes and 1 box of rice paper rolls. When I ate crepes filled with sour cream, the rice paper rolls had purple torn gloves inside. I don't understand why the shop is so sloppy. I don’t have to come back here.
