Park Eagle Rock reviews
11 Excellent beginners hike with STUNNING views of the southern Bay Area. There is ample free parking at the base of the trail. Restrooms and picnic, BBQ areas as well. Park rangers provide good security here. Details regarding the hike and viewpoint follow:
It’s approximately 3/4 of a mile uphill with a steep climb. Not too long but you’ll get a great leg workout going up. Once you arrive there is a view point with a looking glass. Plenty of red tailed hawks circling around. Very beautiful area. 1.5 miles round trip and if you want to extend your hike, when you come back down consider taking another one of the adjacent loops nearby. We turned this into a 5 mile hike and great workout.
Highly recommended!
Beautiful views of the trail. A few spots are great for taking pictures. There are some Eagles flying around the area. Definitely recommend.
Eagle Rock is about a 15 minute walk from the parking lot below. It offers great views of Silicon Valley. On a clear day, you can see into the San Francisco peninsula. It offers a nice break from the city.
Nice little hike to Eagle Rock and around the park. Lot's of weeds growing, so sinuses were on.
The turkey vultures were out playing today, so it looked like.
Great spot for hiking! They have a few more hikes in the park. It’s a beautiful place to view the sunset.
One of the places I love. Always having the best time and the best views. If you haven't you should come here. But don't be like the ones who dont care and do not leave plastic bags or bottles. Please.
Totally worth a short hike from any nearest (free) parking lot, nice San Jose view, even better with light clouds!
There are few benches to sit, rest and meditate. Not crowded place, especially on week days.
Close to home and a great place to get fresh air and destress while getting some walking in.
Very unique area and like the name and description suggest, you can see plenty of eagles circling this rock and it's awesome! It's quite a rare sight to behold in the bay area but it's a fantastic place to experience the sight.
Great spot with trails, playgrounds, child museum and great view spots. Definitely worth visiting!
