Museum Eames Foundation reviews
13So very worth seeing! Second time for me, and it was still a lovely visit. Guides around site are nice and explain everything so clearly!
A truly wonderful LA gem. It has only been recently that tourists and visitors have started to visit it more. You sadly can't go inside, but it is still quite remarkable.
Inspiring place, exceeds all expectations! Richard was a fantastic docent who knows tons about the Eameses!
The interior tour is a very special experience - one that I’ll always remember. We were warmly greeted on a Saturday afternoon and had the opportunity to walk around the property before exploring the interior of the home & studio. Our guide was personable & engaging - their knowledge really enhanced the 90 minute in-depth tour. It was all incredible - the layout of the space, the furniture, the collection of objects & books, the midday light, the calming energy, and all the tiny details of the home & office.
Very unfriendly staff! Came to see the place with the friends from the other city and they didn’t even let us have a quich walk around it.
We had a lovely afternoon at the Eames House, the staffs were extremely friendly and we've already decided to come back next time for the interior tour. A must visit spot for design lovers in LA!
I loved getting to see the well maintained grounds, but I did not splurge to get an interior tour.
I visited last year and it was an awesome experience. They have tours in which you can see the interior of the house and learn more about its history and hear stories about the Eames family and the house. The views from the property are beautiful and the weather is almost always nice here. You can visit year round. They sell books about the couple and their house.
Not to miss if you are a mid-century design enthusiast or an Eames fan. Very friendly director made our tour!
You can only see the exterior of the place with the normal US$10 admission, so unless you're a huge Eames fan there isn't much worth seeing. Obviously you could pay and get into the Eames house.
Make a reservation before going. The museum curators prefer that. Parking on the adjacent street available. A beautiful, inspiring place to spend an hour or two.
I visited the Eames house for an interior tour and I really cannot speak highly enough of the experience, 5 stars is not enough. The curators have so much information they can give and the sense of enthusiasm they share for the site made for a beautiful experience. I will well and truly never forget my visit here and I cannot recommend it enough.
What a great way to spend an afternoon. A beautiful piece of land to explore, and the house was fascinating! The outdoor tour is free to students. And the plant life is amazing! Wow. Cool place to go.
