East Los Angeles Library reviews
17I really like the library but I have gotten mosquito bites while studying. It’s very irritating since it’s a very itchy sensation.
One of the best places to be in east LA. They have great children services and a lot of wonderful activities, crafts, story time for kids. Beat the summer heat and ease your mind while spending your time with your family in this library.
Just dropped by to pick up some reserved materials. The library staff is always so pleasant. The lake/park on the backside of the library is a pretty lil spot I can't wait to visit for some reflection/meditation time. Always a pleasure!
Great social distancing taking place. Only one person per table. This location has lots of rooms which are big and spacious.
Great library to stop in at. Park is safe and shaded areas to sit and enjoy the duck pond. East LA Sheriff dept is also, located in this general area, as well as the ELA courthouse.
1. Certain sections of L A Times in the newspaper rack are often missing. I do not think it is stolen by patrons.
2. See attached notice on the restroom door allowing only one inside. With the libraries back to normal, I think this requirement is too harsh and outdated.
I was blown away by the beautiful mosaic at the entrance of the library. They have a Chicano Resource Center where they have all books related to Chicano Studies, pre columbian art, literature and history books. This library is a sanctuary for other bookworms like myself.
Library is great, but if you have outstanding warrants the East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station is right next door and they frequently patrol the lake area, court house as well as the perimeter around the Station, I'm just giving you a heads up, I know you just want to get a book from the library, but you don't want to get booked by the Sheriff's Department.
Clean, quiet little library with a nice little lake to walk around. Park has a nice jungle gym.
I love this place.when I enter I feel so much peace.it's clean staff is friendly and helpful.the pond and whole surrounding is beautiful.
It was delightfully pleasant. I got to read God's word in peace.and when I first came in. I was shushin everyone who spoke loud.but in a comedish manner. It was cool yet funnylol
It was marvelously great, no complaints, was glad to have book, DVD free rental and wifi again. Staff was helpful and courteous.
Went to get my printables through the Smart Alec app, it took me 22 minutes to get to the library. When I got there I called to see if they were ready, they said it would take a few minutes. I waited 6 to 7 minutes and got them inside an yellow envelope.
The library is great, it has a children's section, a Chicano section, young adult section and study rooms and computer section.so many awesome stuff. There's also a beautiful lake and during the summer they have bands to entertain the community. Great place to visit
Very helpful staff!
Parking is convenient with and big parking lot.
It’s located right next to the Sheriff’s station and park with a pond!
Metro stops right out front at Civic Center Station.
Farmers markets happens in the parking lot on Saturdays!
What an amazing library! This library is huge, with amazing amount of books and audiovisual items. This library has so much to offer. I wish I lived a little closer.
There's a banner at the front showing "2019 Best Library! It's indeed clean and beautiful unlike some of the libraries where too many stinky homeless people are.
