7 Very unfriendly place, I stopped by and a man at the window said “to go only”
Since there is no restaurant there, it seems obvious, not he offered no explanation, instructions, or welcome.
I orders a fe rolls, but at $24 each for pickup I could not grasp the concept of what they are offering, or why the reclusive attitude
Not sure why 1 roll is $23 when I pick up
The man at the location did not want to talk
Said it was to go only and turned away
I ordered some rolls, but don’t understand the concept - if you are offering to go service, why not talk to someone who walks up to your place?
Later they claimed that they gave my order to another customer, which is OK, I’m not sure this is truly a neighborhood spot for locals.
Google says it’s open until 2am, came at midnight and it was closed. Even though it had a neon “open” sign in the window the door was locked and now I’m sad
Wandering around in the Marina at 1am on a Saturday night, we were thrilled to see a brightly lit Open sign away from the crowded bars on Union Street. We left Echigo with a delicious hot strawberry rose tea, and tasty snacks: chicken karaage, fire salmon roll, and a bonus mini handroll with imitation crab. Four stars for the food was an average of three opinions. We all liked the karaage flavor and tenderness, but would’ve liked it to be crisper (it lost some crunch in the 10 minutes between pickup and eating). One person loved the sushi and another thought it was just okay. Five stars for the tea, which smelled and tasted amazing, and was made with strawberry purée.

The sushi it top notch. High quality fish with great preparation and fresh ingredients. We got Nigri and a roll but he was so nice and added an extra roll as a free gift. This place focuses on quality food. I highly recommend if you want great sushi
