PFL - This is not an office for Paid Family Leave BUT you can still get some help. The guy at the window explained that they could check on how the PFL claim was going, however, if something was wrong, they couldn't do anything about it.
I had applied for PFL almost 3 weeks ago and had not heard anything on the web site or email (or received mail). They were very helpful in explaining about my application status and told me when the check was issued and by when should I be receiving it. None of the stuff was on the web portal (which it should have been), however I really appreciated the help.

The wait times can be long. I went at a 8: 10 AM on a Friday and finished up at 9: 30 AM. There is first a line to get a token, and then you have to wait in the waiting room till you're token number is called. Go as early as possible – easier to find parking and much smaller wait. Also get some snacks for the waiting room:)

-1 star for expensive parking. Not a lot of street parking really close as well. And it can take really long, which adds up (max $18 for 24 hours).

These people are unexceptional,
They take our money that we put into edd and don't give it to us when we need it

The person at the check-in window said I needed to go to the Irvine One-Stop Job Center for what I needed and gave me a paper of locations with a total wrong address. The address he gave me was for "Great Collections Coin Auctions at 17891 Cartwright Rd, Irvine, CA 92614" which is not the correct location but then it turned out the Irvine One-Stop is no longer open anywhere. They can't be having people driving around wasting time and gas like that. They need to get their information updated and properly communicated to avoid that type of situation. I mean, the person who gave me the info was nice he just needs to make sure he is providing acurate information.

I went in last week on a Monday and was in and out within an hour. No appointment made. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The only negative thing is that you have to pay for parking they do NOT validate. So find street parking or find free parking elsewhere if you do not want to pay.

Horrible experience every time! Just sad the state of California services to help people really sucks!

Definitely not helpful.you will loose messing or asking help from the government.they take money from every single check you work for but when you loose your job and need assistance they are not there.

I would like to review my visit to the SDI office today! …. I’m giving 1 star due to a bad experience with “Mrs. Brandy” she was rude and not helpful at all! Some of us are already going thru emotional feelings due to our disability and with representatives like this just make it worst. Thank you Brandy for making me feel worthless!

It was worth the 40 min drive. Alot of people. U will be there like 1 hr and some minutes 4 windows move pretty quick. Will never get through calling. Park on the street near warehouses behind the building. Make sure to sign in and get a number with security inside the edd office

Calling for WEEKS- cannot get through, cannot be placed in line to hold, cannot get an email. Horrible service.

Always, kind and assiduous. Anybody that would complain about this place doesn't know the depths of bad service work! This place deserves way more credit than they get. Great folks great, for a bureaucratic process they are top notch professional.

There is NO indication on the building that this is EDD.
No guidance where to PARK.
IT IS NOT ENOUGH THAT EDD AS A GOVERNMENT INSTITUTION AWAYS MESSES UP DOCUMENTS AND DELAYS ELIGIBILITY AND PAYMENTS, but also one can NOT find the building.
Also, THE PARKING IS PAID.
For people who are in need of MONEY, the parking is PAID!

Surprisingly it wasn't too bad. The wait was only about 15 minutes. They were able to take care of everything I needed. But be prepared to pay for your parking. I think I paid like 3.50 They do not validate.

Fast and good service clean building and Mr Sal is the best of the best his customer service is above and beyond phone service is terrible and never help or give answers but in person this office and Mr Sal are incredibly wonderful. Please learn from him

Although I personally appreciate what you guys do, it doesn't make sense for people who are looking for your help to stand in the hallway for more than 2 hours waiting to be served.the line is moving too slow which is understandable, only 3 windows have employees, it's ok! But for an office that helps disabled people, I was expecting a chair!

Great for dealing with any disability insurance questions/issues but does anyone know where to file for unemployment

Long time waiting on Call and in person, in general it takes forever to disburse you for one case!
