We did the North Berkeley tour and it was fantastic. Broad tastes of food, a great guide and fun participants.

I worked with Edible Excursions to schedule our staff post-holiday party. Amy was our contact. She was so helpful, great communication & timely. Amy took care of all the details which made it perfect & easy for me to work with. Joshua was our tour guide for the SF Ferry Building. He was so delightful, knowledgeable & FUN our entire group couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had! I plan on scheduling another tour with Edible Excursions very soon!

We were lucky enough to have Lisa guide us on our Japantown, and I can't wait to do it again as a result. Not only is she extremely knowledgable about Japantown, but she has also taken the time to forge relationships with the various vendors, restaurateurs, and others we visited. Because of that, it was abundantly clear how much they liked and respected her. In turn, we were exposed to the best bites of each type of food - ramen, onigiri, mochi, bento boxes filled with little bites, and SO much more - and equally, the stories around each of them. Having context and an understanding of the specific foods of a culture enrich the experience a hundred fold.

I had been to Japantown many times but never knew where I should go or who had the "best" fill-in-the-blank. Now I do. In addition, we got a spectacular origami-making lesson and an appreciation of origami in a way I never had before. Thank you, Paper Tree!

I can't recommend Edible Excursions enough. They offer several tours, and now having done one, I have zero doubt I'll be joining another. Organized, tasty (!), informative, and inside access - Edible Excursions checks all the boxes when it comes to the reasons why we take tours. The difference is that they go above and beyond before the tour and after in ways we don't see but know because of how smoothly and wonderfully the tour is conducted. Five stars for sure.

We had a great tour from the first moment to the last. Rebecca was our guide and she was knowledgeable not only about all the places we visited (and those we didn't) but was also a true advocate for local dining in the bay area. We'd definitely want to do the East Bay when we visit next!

Such an amazing experience! I’ve done the north Berkeley tour before Covid and just did the Japan town tour and both were amazing. Lisa led our Japan town tour and she’s extremely knowledgeable and has great relationships with the local owners. The group was wonderful and all the food and drinks we had were amazing. Large variety and we even had leftovers for another meal. Loved every minute of it and would definitely recommend it.

I was blown away by the whole experience! The tastes were outstanding! I never would have put such interesting things on Latkes, nor would I imagine that tuna could taste so good. Our guide did a wonderful job of filling us in with tidbits about the chefs and vendors who create the foods we tried.

The food tour of the Embarcadero Ferry Building was great! The tour guide Rebecca was very informative and provided background and context behind the Ferry Building's origins. And the food we sampled was very diverse and tasty!

This was the perfect birthday present for a good friend of mine, who is quite a foodie. Tori, our guide, did an amazing job. We sampled a lot of food, which was a yummy variety of what the Ferry Building stores/restaurants have to offer. Tori told us interesting stories about the origin and philosophy of the different vendors and mostly small companies, the history of the Ferry Building and the concept behind the California Cuisine, especially in the Bay Area. My friend and I had a wonderful time, sampling the amazing food and listening to the lively and enthusiastic narrated tour. I will definitely recommend the tour to my friends

It was a delightful tour of the Farmerʻs Market. The tour was brief but packed with information - some history of the market as well as of the vendors and quite a bit of tasting (good selection of vendors with a great variety of food). Our guide also previewed some other vendors that were worthy of visiting on our own. At the end of our tour we were primed and ready to pick up goodies for the day and some to bring home, too. Mahalo!

We really enjoyed this tour around the Farmers Market at the Ferry Building. The foods we sampled were all delicious, and we enjoyed the background information on the growers and meeting some of them. It was a great setting and our guide was knowledgeable and interesting.

We had an amazing time on the Mission food tour. The food was delicious (and there was a lot of it!), the drinks were yummy, Lisa was an amazing guide. She imparted so much knowledge without sounding like a guide! I would highly recommend.

This was such a great experience. We are Bay Area locals and we went on the North Berkeley Tour. Rebecca was our fabulous guide. The food itself was above and beyond what we expected. Everything was arranged ahead of time and it was a smooth experience at each place. Delicious food, things I probably would not have tried or known about without our guide. I loved hearing about the history and people behind the food as well. We are planning on exploring the area many more times in the coming months. All around fantastic experience! Highly recommend for locals or visitors.
