Edwin's Carmel reviews
15I'm remembering to write this review as I am eating my cold leftovers from last night which are amazingly delicious. Wonderful restaurant with super friendly and informed staff. We took recommendations and everything we ate was so good. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you are in the Carmel area.
This restaurant has a live music event on the weekends! It is a cozy restaurant that offers food and drinks and live music. It is a nice place to relax and enjoy your favorite drink and listen to live music while visiting Carmel.
Finally made it to Edwins! The first time I walked past it I was so excited to see a Filipino-asian-fusion cuisine in downtown Carmel. With dominantly french-american cuisines over there it gets kinda bleh. All great spots don’t get me wrong, but especially being part filipino I was excited to give Edwin’s a shot!
Service was top notch, very friendly and he actually spoke the dialect my grandmother spoke which was awesome & unusual to come across. Really warm and family style vibes.
Food was DELICIOUS, my boyfriend was spoiled by their tasty & unique lumpia for his first lumpia experience haha. All the dishes we had were plated beautifully and flavor was on point- I would recommend all of these dishes in my photos and we’ll be back soon to try more!
If you are looking for a flavorful meal, live music and good vibes highly recommend you skip the often stuffy french or italian spot for an evening and try out Edwins. ;) Support local! Salamat!
Best restaurant in town! Now that's saying something. Edwin’s makes any special occasion one for the books. The entire team is always so incredibly accommodating and welcoming that you’d have a hard time going anywhere else. Thank you to the entire team for a 40th to remember! I was so honored to have multiple birthday serenades from the most talented musicians in town. Love to all who helped me celebrate in style! Keep dancing!
The food was great. I specially like the kare kare, highly recommend. And if you want a vegetarian dish, you should try their vegetarian plate which is fried eggplant with walnuts, lentils, potatoes and 7 kinds of spices. Delish!
Flavors for the kare kare and roti could be more memorable. Live music was a tad loud. Service was good albeit a bit understaffed for a full restaurant.
It's so great to see a Filipino restaurant opened in Carmel. The kare kare was excellent as was the vegetarian plate! Plus, they have live music!
Cute place to relax and listen to someone sing. Just had one drink and left, didn't eat. Good experience with staff. Went on a Thursday night and it wasn't too busy. Walked by Friday and Saturday nights and it was packed!
A bit pricey at ~$30 a plate. But the food is delicious. The Javanese prawn pasta exceeded my expectations in flavor and portion. Glad I found this place and will return next time I'm in town.
Food is great and Dexter is amazing. Very friendly environment. Totally recommended if you stop to Carmel by sea.
Ps. I gave 5 stars but for some reason the system gave 4
Amazing food! I also choked during dinner and The manager, Neil, was instantly behind me asking if I wanted the heimlich and i said yes- he saved my life!
We have been coming to Carmel annually for about 30 years. We had reservations on a Tuesday night for our anniversary. This resturant quickly became our new favorite for the area. We love to listen to live music which is what attracted us initially. Then the food came out in this awesome family style presentation and was excellent. We hung out at least an hour after our meal just enjoying ourselves and listening to the music. A great experience. We actually came back the next night just to listen to music again and have a few drinks at the bar. Wouldn't change a thing. Thanks
Wonderful! So glad we discovered this place. Beautiful tribute to a foodie family and father rather than just another Carmel pasta place. Definitely a fusion of Filipino, Pacific Island, and Singaporean with excellent results.
This is a very popular sushi restaurant in Carmel. They had good live performances during dinner. Food is good with Philippine and south east Asian influences. They have a bar area that was always full. The only bad thing we that we had to wait for 30 minutes even though we had a reservation. They didn't give us any discount on the bill
