EFI Flight School, Murrieta CA

My experience with EFI is very wonderful. My instructor Joey is awesome and very helpful i have been learning so much from my instructor and i can highly recommend EFI to anybody who wishes to learn wants to learn how to fly. If i can give more stars they sure would receive them on my behalf Thank You EFI.

Chief Pilot Justin did a fantastic job flying with my 12 year old son AND making my wife and I feel safe in the passenger seats.

I am from NY and I was visiting family in Temecula. I wanted an intro flight plus 2hrs of site seeing even though i have my ppl. The "CFI" in charge of that day was very condescending and disrespectful. I approached to him asking the possibility for this and he ignored my questions while playing with his phone. Even the desk attendant acted like afraid of this guys. I will not recommend this place, clearly they don't need the business.

Unfortunately I have to report a bad experience with this flight school. I wanted to like it but lack of training continuity from one instructor to the next, their failure to keep the online Cessna flight training log (which I purchased from Efi) updated with my progress, last minute cancellations by instructors and failure to fix pilot squawks for broken planes was just too much not to address. One plane was leaking so much oil that I refused to fly it. This was after numerous squawks from multiple pilots on that plane. After all, this is flight and safely is primary. Its unconscionable to put a student pilot in the position of flying an airplane in that condition. I tried very hard to work out a solution with the owner, David Sowards, but he became hostile quickly. He said it was all my fault and that my performance was poor despite all the great marks in my log book by his own instructors. Even his own Chief instructor said on my solo check-ride, "I couldn't have done it any better myself". David hurled insults at me and then hung up on me before I could have a chance to respond. He then sent me a text message stating that I was belligerent. It's hard to believe an owner would act this way but it's true. As a business owner myself for 20 years, I hold my customers in the highest respect. I would never dream of treating one of my customers with such disrespect. Now, Efi is stealing from me by refusing to return the unused money I had in my account. And this is after owner David said he would refund my money.

Wow, does this man lie! I was charged $216 for the pre-solo check ride. Doesn't usually respond to negative feedback, just look at his response to the last guy who complained. I spent over $6500 at efi. They have not refunded one nickel. They may have a picture of a check, but it sure didn't make its way to me.
