11am Sunday morning. We wanted to support local and so gave this place a go. Very trendy but they do not have their service down at all. Of the 3 drink orders, they got every single one wrong (it was 2x lattes and a kid/juice type drink), and it took 30 mins for 3 scramble egg “sandos”. Service was curt. Won’t visit again, certainly not on a weekend.

Delicious food! Got the eggy-a delicious mashed potato easy egg combo- and a hot hojicha latte. Cute spot too! Only complaint was it took about 30 minutes. Would have appreciated a heads up.

First time is my last time at the downtown location. Food is good but not worth the wait time. I had to wait over an hour for one sandwich. Staff move like sloths even with the place full of frustrated people waiting for their orders. They don’t call out names so you have to check each bag as they put them on the counter. I should’ve gone to Whispers.

Despite having more people on staff than there were customers in the shop, it took 20 minutes to get my food. The potatoes came out just warm, and the sandwich was *almost* warm.

The menu says the sandwich comes with “soft scramble” which I was looking forward to, unfortunately what they mean is “regular scrambled eggs with a small curd” which is not the same thing. The eggs were an anemic yellow shade of white and had very little flavor.

Nothing was properly seasoned so they compensate by using an avalanche of sauce which was messy and unpleasant. I added avocado and I only got one little slice. I don’t know what they put on top of the eggs, but it wasn’t “caramelized onions”.

The whole menu is a 1: 1 ripoff of Eggs lut in LA, but that is a restaurant where the long wait is because they have a lot of customers - the food comes out quickly, is served hot, is made with quality ingredients that actually have flavor, and are well cooked.

If you want to rip off another restaurant, at least pay attention to what makes their food so popular.

Really good food! If you don't know what the difference between normal and great scrambled eggs are this is the place to be.

The atmosphere is a little dark and there's not many tables on the inside.

As for the service, it's good! Sometimes, it seems confusing on who to talk to for extra sauce or where to place an order, but nothing major.

The food was yummy. The fresh hot bun was amazing! The eggs were delicious. P. S My partner left his cell phone there. The phone was unlocked so the honest staff person Aaron called me (I was the last person my partner called) to tell me he found a phone. What a miracle, honesty is rare these days! I offered Aaron a good tip and he said "I can't take money for doing the right thing. " This guy has a bright future ahead of him. Thank you Aaron!

Great find for us!
Tots are FANTASTIC, the Ultimate Sando is beyond belief delicious, and The Scramble with avocado add was a fresh, hot, and delicious vegetarian option!

Bravo

Not a bad spot for some breakfast, by any means, but just a litttle bit underwhelming.we tried the chic and the ultimate sando.the chic had a HUGE piece of chicken that was beautifully fried, but it just felt like the sandwich was missing some acid/something refreshing to balance it out (maybe slaw, some kimchi, pickles, etc). The egg on top kinda felt random rather than adding anything.the ultimate sando was solid but nothing to write home about; it was just a good breakfast sandwich (and a bit on the expensive side). Finally, the service was quite slow (i think it was just 1 girl working so i understand that), but when we got our sandwiches, there werent even any napkins around the restaurant for us to grab—we had to wait until she came back out of the kitchen 5 mins later to ask for some napkins, which is not a huge deal but just a little inconvenient and something that seems like there could be an easy solution for!
overall, it was tasty, but for the price, egghead could def have something more to offer!

Made to order egg sandwiches on a big brioche bun. Doesn’t get much better than that. Coffee is nice and strong too. Great spot downtown.

Ordered the eggy. Didn’t eat any of it. So gross. Just a pile of mush in a mason jar with some dry toast.

Delicious sando. Got the chic. Massive thigh meat (much preferred over breasts) that was just the right size to fill me up. Mild heat on it rounded it out well.

I ordered an Egghead Scramble and their Cafe Latte. The wait staff was distracted. Another wait staff I asked a question to didn't speak English nor a language I knew. I had to ask for water a couple of times. And the food wasn't hot when served, I dined in. The above points to not enough experienced wait staffers.

The egg sandwich was nothing to write home about. I think they're doing okay for now as there isn't much competition near this place.

Food is good but it took them the better part of an hour to get me my order. Wait was unacceptable.

Overall all I received pretty good service despite what all these other reviews are saying. The wait was reasonable considering that there were only two workers, and the cashier was super nice and explained some items to me! It might seem a little pricey for some egg sandwiches but trust me their portions are big! I will say that I wasn’t a big fan of the matcha though, came out a little powdery. Overall the food was good and I’ll come again to try more options!

Food was great! Other reviews shouldn't be taken too seriously. Food was out quick and was very tasty.

My buddies and I stop in here at least every other day for breakfast before work. For a few months now I’ve never had a bad meal here ever. I’ve ordered several different styles of eggs and each one was delicious but the eggs Benedict was the best. The price is just right and so are the portions you get.
Thanks again Egghead and see you tomorrow morning!
