I'm very disappointed with this office. I like my doctor (Dr. Makowski) because he's amazing at his job and the first psychiatrist that I feel comfortable talking to. However, the rules of this office is very strange. I need to go on medical leave due to my state of mind the company that handles it through my place of employment is requesting a form to be filled out. The office told me it would cost me $350. Yes! I said $350 for a 1 page form. Apparently, the form had to be filled out by a 3rd party company that we pay the clinic to pay the 3rd party. I discussed it with my insurance company as well and they were surprised as well. They gave them a call and verified it.

The person at this office said pay it or it doesn't get filled out. It's hard to find another doctor and I originally left my other doctor because the treatment sucked but I dealt with it for several years. You're better off finding one of those online Doctor's to fill out any forms and save the hassle because they charge for every form or letter that needs to be filled out. Completely ridiculous and a red flag because the doctor is suppose to fill it out and sign off on it.

Unless someone else who gets care here wants to chime in, but this unknown party also needs consent from the patients in order to view medical records. That's a HIPAA violation. I never received any forms to sign to give consent or charges for forms to be filled out. Keep in mind, scammers can register as a legit business then conduct illegal activity and again the doctors have nothing to do with forms so that leaves the door open for these other people to do as they please. Just beware of it because that $350 is a red flag. My lawyer friend stated that is unethical, dodgy and no one has heard about high fees like that. They charge for every form that this 3rd party needs to review and fill out. I needed a form signed for my service dog about a year ago because I switched to this clinic and they wanted to charge $150. As I said earlier, you're better off going online and asking a random doctor to fill out forms. I don't agree with those methods but I'm just making a point.

I highly recommend getting details when you need a form filled out because their methods appear to be a violation of HIPAA. Just saying.

"Care manager" is the worst. Fails to schedule appointments, then lies about it when the provider no-shows. Rude, illiterate. Basically an all around useless human.

This is the most disorganized place! My goodness! MD prescribes psychotropics for patient he says he doesn't know, but wouldn't sign a form for said patient, why, because he doesn't know the patient. Then I'm charged for them to sign a form and I submitted need information, but of course next therapist didn't received paperwork. Wow! This practice probably should be shut down, investigated, reorganized, be under more efficient management or SOMETHING!

Honestly my psych with these guys is one of the worst I’ve had and the scheduling department is really flakey and weird. It’s cheap with my insurance but I’ll be looking for a new office soon

I'm pretty sure this place is a scam? I sent in all my confidential information, finally got an appointment and saw a provider, and it has now been nearly two weeks that they have not called in my prescription. The provider's office won't answer to phone or return my calls, though I did get a text from them asking me to text them a picture of my former rx bottle? When I call the main number for Yacoub, they always tell me the same thing- they will leave a note for the doctor and I will be contacted within 24 hours. It's been two weeks and no one has returned my calls. I am pretty sure the office just billed my insurance and now are not following through on calling in my Rx. I would not recommend anyone use this provider to try to get care for their psychiatric needs.

Whew! Just trying to get an appointment with the doctor is stressful These people are so unorganized, misinformed, ignorant to patients needs. They sent me the wrong forms to fill out twice. I’ve decided to look elsewhere, especially after reading these reviews. Thanks Everyone for the feedback and Heads-up!

Dr Mahmoud works out of dr yacoubs office.and he ihas always accommodated with the best possible treatment ive never had to go without med and even when I forget my appts his office calls me to remind me a day before and on the day of appointment. He makes sure I always have my Seboxan and any other medication I need he doesn't make it difficult for me to access my meds because he understands how important it is for me to always have my meds and never go without like other places / They constantly drug testing you and doctors constantly become unavailable to where it becomes impossible to get your meds on time and you suffer. Because these meds as much as they help us at the same time it can be very painful if you are forced to go without. I am sure you understand what im talking about. This clinic is absolutely the best place to go to, in the galaxy.if your spaceship is broke and can't stop by call the uber space.they will give you a ride. Don't even think about going anywhere else your search is over.t

Be careful! This place is shady! After divulging a lot of my very personal mental health information I was finally able to schedule an appointment. My appointment was scheduled a week out on Monday. I received a Spam Risk phone call late sunday afternoon asking for a payment of $253.00 otherwise my scheduled appointment for Monday at 1130am would be cancelled, this was also followed by a text asking for payment with multiple grammatical errors - which was a huge red flag for me. So I followed my gut instinct and waited for Monday morning to figure out this mess, also please keep in mind that a week before this appointment the gentleman who scheduled me and processed my personal information told me that my insurance (aetna) was accepted and made no mention of a co-pay. On Monday morning I spoke with "Maggie" and she condescendingly said my appointment was cancelled due to lack of payment and that there was nothing that could be done about this, she also mentioned that I needed to pay the copay and that they would call me to reschedule. This was a disheartening experience! I made work /life accommodations to make sure that I made the scheduled time - I was scheduling a consultation with a psychiatrist which I'm in need of, I would understand if this happened scheduling a haircut appointment. Their lack of communication and customer service is embarrassing to say the least, who knows? Maybe I dodged a bullet with this place?

I've been seeing Dr. Mahmoud Aborabeh via video visits, and am very pleased with his care. He listens to my concerns, provides insight, and has prescribed medication that will help with my condition. I'm happy to continue as his patient.

Dr Mahmoud is great but avoid Tanya at all costs. Overall this is the most poorly run clinic you can imagine and has the worst service possible. You can call and text over and over but good luck getting your prescriptions sent to the pharmacy. They truly could not care less. Do yourself a favor and find another clinic.

Don’t even bother with this place.for 3 weeks I’ve called every other day about a follow up appointment and every single time they said they will call back the next day and NEVER CALL BACK. Do yourself a favor and go to see a different doctor. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. The guy that picks up the phone is not helpful. This place is a shame and should be shut down immediately

Dr. McGowan was absolutely life changing for me. I’ve started d seeing him during quarantine when I was absolutely losing my mind, not knowing that my issues were deep rooted.
He is thorough, kind and caring. He prescribed me meds that worked for me with necessary adjustments. Listened to all my concerns and acted accordingly.
Also his assistant Christina is very sweet and always makes sure you don’t miss your appointments with lots of reminders.
It breaks my heart that Dr. McGowan is retiring, he will be very much missed!
