Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge reviews
17My girlfriends and I went here for dinner on our trip. (First time away from our kids in a few years) The whole night was impeccable. The service was incredible, every person who helped us, our waiter had the best timing. We felt so taken care of. The food and drinks were insane, like, we all said this was the best experience we've had in a long time. We had appetizers, entres, desserts, cocktails. We can't recommend Eight4Nine enough and we can't wait to come back.
Our group, The Black Tie Group, selected this restaurant as the location of their annual dinner meeting. Please from Black Tie Groups all over the world attended this event.
The venue was perfect. We were seated in the patio at tables for 6. Lots of room for the group. An open bar served drinks before dinner.
The wait staff was excellent and expertly served our group quickly and efficiently.
The food was excellent. Our menu consisted of appetizers and drinks before the dinner started. The dinner consisted of a fresh salad followed by a Filet with vegetables. Black Forest Cake was served for dessert.
Bottom Line: This is an excellent place for groups to have a very nice dinner. The staff is very efficient and friendly. The food is excellent. The venue is nice and attractive. The only minor problem is that the only way to the restroom was through a private room with another large party. Otherwise, it was a very nice event.
Staff was very nice and helpful with reccomendations. Food was delicious overall. Went on a Monday night so it was nice to easily get a table. My Eight4Nine cocktail was really weird, super sour & flowery perfume aftertaste, but the prickly pear drink was yummy. I think the macchiato cake was good but a little dry, maybe leftover from the weekend which I understand. The chocolate torte was incredible, HIGHLY recommend that. The corn and crab chowder was also amazing. Would totally eat there again.
I came in with big expectations and to be honest the wind in my sails was a bit let out. Admittedly, the restaurant was very busy on a pride weekend brunch which could have impacted regular service. The establishment looks great, however, the service was a touch slow. The meal was alright but the standout hero who stole the show was the soup.
Came for our hood friends birthday. She reserved a private room. The vibe was positive and the staff were friendly. The cocktails were satisfying. Food was delicious however, I received frozen potatoes with my filet entree.
All things considered it was a great experience.
Always consistent delicious food, great service, lovely ambiance! Lots of seating on outdoor patio for the season. Love the decor and the vibe in this place. We are regulars and usually do the same food, but tried brunch items - the crab cakes Benedict (which was more of just fresh crab on top of tomatoes) and the chicken brie sandwich with a chutney - both items were delicious and we were happy trying something new!
This place has great open space dining all around, inside and outdoors.the food is excellent with a long list of drinks to choose from.the staff professional, attentive and friendly
Very disappointed with the food and service. After reading all the other reviews, I was expecting much more. To be totally honest, Denny's has a better Cobb salad and service for less than half of what I spent at Eight Four Nine. Sorry, just being honest.
Food and drink were good. Even though COVID vaccination proof was required for entry, there were way too many tables insides. It was fully packed with people seated at the tables and the bar. There was hardly room to squeeze by between tables.
This restaurant is another one of the really amazing places to eat in Downtown Palm Springs.
We love the ambiance, the great menu, (including a price fix menu), and the romantic and lovely outdoor patio seating.
They have a large bar area, and plenty of indoor seating, if that’s what you prefer.
Our server was excellent, and took good care of us.
Their signature 849 cocktail is something that should not be missed!
Our meals were well prepared, well presented and flavorful. We were not disappointed!
We will definitely be returning here again for lunch or drinks sometime soon.
The food is SO GOOD but the interior decor is kind of not. We were cracking up because a large party came in to the private like room we were dining in and every single time they moved a chair it was a super loud DRAG THE CHAIR sound which would typically drive us crazy but it was sooooo much that we couldn’t help but laugh. I know the furniture might be kinda cool but if it’s literally not functioning then say adios!
Other than that, our service was excellent and the food and cocktails to die for!
Thank you!
Excellent ambience! The food was fantastic as well as the service. Just a gorgeous place to dine.
Great ambiance, clam chowder was sublime and the cocktails excellent along with the service.
The squid appetizer was very good! Our chicken dinners were both tasty. Good ambiance, and staff was pleasant. Busy place in a good way. Most patrons were under 60.
First, the staff were very nice. Fast service. LOVED: the corn and crab chowder, delicious! And the caramel macchiato cake, amazing! NOT GOOD: chicken caprese, absolutely no flavor, no sauce, even the mozzarella was bad; my daughter got quesadillas with beef, the cheese was awful and lastly the s’mores fondue was good but veeeeery sweet. Overall, not really worth it for the price.
Decided to have brunch at Eight 4 Nine. Everything was good, but not outstanding. Beautiful setting and the service was just ok. Acceptable for the price, but wish it had been better.
Booked for a private lunch after a memorial service. Josh was great helping me get everything set up. The food was great the staff was great. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was the service was very slow. It was almost an hour and a half between the appetizer and the main course. Would totally recommend Eight4Nine.
