El Buen Comer reviews
17This mole is top notch, one of the best place for authentic Mexican in the Mission District. Chicken Enchiladas were delicious.
Had the green mole pork with rice and beans 10/10! Service was warm, prompt and friendly. Don’t miss out.
I went to this restaurant during a day out withy son and grandson. The food was delicious and plentiful!
Incredible food - the pork in mole verde was fantastic, the tacos were delicious, the chips were crispy, and the tortillas are homemade - what else can you ask for?
Was my first time trying sopes and they were also excellent!
I found this spot in my search for Chilaquiles! It did not disappoint!
I ordered the sope tinga and chilaquiles rojos. Both were seasoned perfectly and the sauces were divine. It’s homestyle cooking in a clean, friendly, and welcoming restaurant.
Can’t wait to return and order the chilaquiles verdes.
Best Mexican food in the city hands down. The staff are very friendly and treat you like family too. Highly recommend coming here for authentic Mexican food at any time of the day
Came here on a recommendation, but the plates were overly salty and the pork was quite dry. Don't think I'll be back.
Possibly the best Mexican food in San Francisco. Tortillas are handmade and super good. Puerco con mole verde is so amazing with the tortillas.
Amazing chilaquiles. Perfect spiciness, excellent flavor! Bring your family.
It's not cheap, but the quality is high.
We had high hopes but this place was underwhelming. Our brunch items were just boring and flat in terms of flavor, and the chilaquiles were especially off the mark.
Ate there with family just before they closed (8.30pm). They served us with no urgency to shut down and we could enjoy a great and varied meal. Best little Mexican restaurant I have enjoyed: relaxed sense of authenticity. Highly recommended.
I ordered chilaquiles and that salsa from the chilaquiles were salted and no flavor. That Worse part is the price $153 for a plate of chilaquiles two tortas 4 sopes and 2 chicken tamales and one cheese tamales two nasty coffees 4 orange juices. Two cokes. Wow and bad food. Only the two tiraras were good my son and husband said. Honestly for $153 is not worth it. Because food is not good to simple no flavor.
I’ve eaten in and taken out and every time it’s been great! Love the green salsa on the enchiladas!
My favorite secret Mexican restaurant. This place is truly amazing. Flavors are delicious, authentic, and very fresh. I usually order the sopes de carnitas o con chorizo y papas. Today I got the enchiladas verdes and they were perfect. My gf got the pozole and it was also a 10/10… we tried to eat our dishes as slow as possible to savor the moment:) The guac is also the best in the city. Do yourself a big favor and try this spot. Staff is always sweet too.
Really well executed homestyle Mexican food Homemade tortillas and vibrant sauces come together to give you everything you wanted and more.
I love this place. It’s both nice on the inside and also casual; the staff is great and the food is awesome. I almost always get the Camarones a la Diabla (photo included with this review), but the chicken pozole is also so, so good.
This little restaurant on the fringes of the Mission District is run by Isabel Caudillo, a former employee of La Cocina, and the name of the establishment itself promises "good food. " Her cuisine is predicated on guisados, the rich stews that are typical of Mexico City, where she was born and raised. Whether you choose for the spicy meatballs in chipotle sauce or the tender pork with green mole, you'll get lots of warm corn tortillas that are handcrafted, so you can use them to soak up every last drop of her scrumptious mixtures. Other traditional Mexican dishes, such as tacos, tortas, and chilaquiles, as well as freshly fried tortilla chips served with a generous helping of zesty guacamole, are included on the menu that has been carefully curated. After you've finished it, wash it down with an ice-cold Mexican Coca-Cola, but don't forget to reserve space for Caudillo's flan; it's one of the city's most delicious interpretations of the dessert.
