El Cajon Branch Library reviews
10As a library it has everything a library should have, study and conference rooms. But honestly it's very dark and gloomy, kind of depressing.
I live in El Cajon so I'm used to the homeless population and also friends with some of them. If half the people on here writing reviews complaining about them actually took the time to talk to them as people rather than a nuisance maybe they could enjoy this library as much as I do. Its convenient, gets the job done, and offers a lot of programs and activities. You should give it a try.
It would have been nice if there were something one could put their legs up on. The chairs were nice.
It was a peaceful day this afternoon here. Nothing like being surrounded around some good books ya know!
Ok so its a nice but I've noticed the staff acting like everyone is a thief always staring and acting like shes putting the book away for 20 min
Nice quiet library. Just visited for first time on Saturday but maybe the rainy weather has deterred many from visiting.
Saw a couple of very attentive security guards. This is good in my opinion because this should deter any misbehaving.
I did try to use a public computer for faster Internet but it wouldn't accept my card. I have a San Diego public library card. A man who worked there said I would need to fill out an application for a library card to use their computers.
El Cajon is not part of the San Diego branch libraries? This I have to try to figure out.
I’ve been going to this library as long as I can remember and now it’s steadily declining due to people not using libraries anymore. The library opens late and closes early and there’s the issue with the homeless people.
We are pleased to be able to find the library near my older son’s after school wrestling practice. It’s a great place, clean, safe and with friendly people. Oh it even has a playground outside.
Thank you.
They still have a good video selection and I noticed a lot fewer homeless around than there used to be. Also noted they have security officers patrolling.
