This rating is for the excellent customer service, kindness, and patience I received from Elias (Eli) who works there! He has such a great attitude - everyone should have an employee like Eli - he cares so much about us customers, is so knowledgeable & helpful, answered all questions, was so patient, and such an honest person.

When I had a issue, I worked with Yarlet, & after some back & forth, all went far more better than my expectations!

The place is very convenient, with all 10x10 units on 1st floor, & 10x23 & above on 2nd floor. They have a big elevator & loading dock area with huge dolly-cart things to load up.

They had a buy 1 month, get 1/2 off 2nd month deal that's really great & saves money!

Good place - and Eli, you will always be successful with your amazing attitude!

Scarlett has made my El Camino Storage experience very delightful. I had some trouble finding the right size unit, and she was able to go out of her way to give me a tour and find the right one that suits my needs. She is always happy to talk to me about any concerns that I have.

Worst customer service, I highly don't recommend this place, property manager is just lies! Save your money and time

I’d recommend this self storage to anyone.
I have rented units here for over a year. The facilities have always been clean and safe. The manager, Scarlett is the best thing about this place. She communicates very well and tries to accommodate any requests I make. It gives me one less thing to worry about.

This review is not for the manager (Scarlett) and assistant manager (Elias) at this location, who deserve a 5 star rating. The StorAmerica as a whole gets a 1 star rating. This place cost me a lot in time, monetary resources, and massive frustration. Due to inconsistent and conflicting information provided by multiple service agents, my belongings never got moved and have been sitting in my driveway under tarps for several days. Meanwhile, I paid for movers to load and unload my belongings twice, and deal with verbally attacking and unprofessional behavior from their Carlsbad location (Karina). StorAmerica has deceptive marketing with their truck rental, where they don’t disclose time frames upfront on their website, their representatives give varying information, and they bait and switch you once you’re scheduled to move. I escalated my issues to the district manager, and she was very resistant and finally acquiesced to rectify a small portion of the situation - even after I was treated horribly by one of their managers, and incurred monetary losses from their company’s unscrupulous practices. When I asked her where to send in a letter about my complaints, she wouldn’t provide email addresses nor contact information for the higher-ups/owners of the company. This alone shows you that they’re not transparent, ethical, and they’re trying to hide behind their shady practices. If you’re doing a straightforward storage move with no use of their truck, and you want the bare minimum, this place is for you. If you desire to work with ethical people who will be professional, not speak over you, give you legible contracts, and have consistency between what their central phone line representatives state vs their on-site managers state, then go find somewhere else to rent.
