Always come down here for a good tacos whenever we just finish bar hopping / clubbing.
I think their tripas tacos are to die for. They have Mexican coke which is one of my fave too!
They have lots of protein choices, but I always get their tripas.
They don't have seating place, but hey, you can always eat at the parking lot!

Best taco truck in LA!

Love the lengua and tripa. Pro-tip: ask for grilled onions on the side.

The tacos were really good, they have lengua and beef cheek, decent prices, and they re pretty quick.

We wanted the full experience from streets of LA street tacos and this place is one of the best

I have been to few food trucks around here but El Chato was different. Their meat was an explosion of flavor and was way better than many other taco places. We got chicken tacos, Mulitas and a quesadilla. Absolutely amazing taste and would highly recommend trying them. Note: It's a cash only place.

It’s a different food truck you used to know. You would normally would have by Olympic in the Brea.

Delicous and opens at 10pm - perfect for after a concert or club. Badass head chef lady wears sunglasses at night.

Food is good, but their hours and days are inconsistent. We have been clients here for the last 12 years and it has happened too many times that we try to eat here and they are not there. They barely update their facebook to tell us whethere they change address or to notify their clients whether they showed up the present day or not. They need to fix this.

Famous and popular for a reason. Amazingly flavored meats and overall great tacos. The carne asada was the best followed by al pastor. Beef tongue wasn't tender in the sense of medium rare but braised for a long time. The meat burrito may be too much for one person ;)

Best Tacos! I have tried it with Avocado and Cheese but I preferred it without any toppings, it was very delicious

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! I imagine this is the place to go for an authentic taco. Food has lots of flavor. Inexpensive, though I believe prices are up a bit in recent months. I'm sure most customers are night life folks-the truck opens at 9pm. Be advised: tacos have a very spicy after-taste!

For a late night taco, when our favorite spots aren’t open, we would be back.

We ordered pastor and asada. The asada wasn’t how we like our asada: finely chopped and well grilled with some crisp. The pastor were good, but they could do with a little less Chile ancho (?) it overpowers most of the other seasoning in el pastor marinade. Grilled onions were bomb and made our tacos even better.

The agua fresca was good but a little too much cinnamon.

I give it 4 stars because it was good, it’s open until 3: 30am, no wait on A Saturday night. Good service.

We drove a good 25 minutes for these tacos, wouldn’t do it again unless I’m in the area.

I flew in from Toronto and told my friend that I needed some authentic street tacos. He took me to El Chato and it did not disappoint. Truly authentic, great price. They had a veggie burrito that was vegan friendly which my friend ordered and said was great. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in LA again

I don't know how this place isn't more popular than Leo's - it's by far my favorite taco truck! Every time I come to LA I make sure to make a stop here. The meats are so juicy and flavorful and they come with SO much delicious salsa on top. My only qualm is that I can never tell what I'm eating when looking at them from the top!

The tacos are definitely better than the burritos here - I usually get the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Cabeza, Lengua, and Buche! The horchata & the pina are also great as well!
