El Manantial Tacos reviews
12Sitting at the park bench at a smog shop on San Pablo, THIS is the gritty, urban, off- Gourmet Gulch affordable and lovingly made $3 taco experience you need to break out of the bubble. Slow simmered marinated chicken with a dollop of grilled onions, cut-up radishes what's not to like? Go there late enough for free side show entertainment! Across the street from this building north of Ashby.
This place is great. Some of the best burritos in Berkeley, and I can't get over the pastor super quesadilla. Staff are super nice, and they work fast too. Always worth it if I'm getting lunch down here.
The best taco truck in Berkeley and it rivals ANY other anywhere. The most flavorful meats, properly prepared and quickly served. Fresh and ample sized vegetarian items as well. I get my dog a plain taco each time and they remember that order too!
Tables and chairs for waiting and eating and plenty of nearby parking. Friendly folks behind the counter and in the line. Credit cards accepted.
It's parked on the SMOG testing lot, 1 block from Ashby Ave.
Just had a lengua taco here - came out super fast with a big slice of lime and nice portion of cooked onion and jalapeño. Terrific food and reasonably priced. Places like this make me love living in the East Bay. El Manantial means the spring or source in Spanish and this place really is a source for some good food.
10/10 burrito absolutely scrumptious completely destroyed by my mouth. It was so moist and juicy and wet I loved it.
My only regret is being too hungry to take pics but for a food truck, it was so bomb! And when they asked if we wanted everything on it, well, I was low-key shocked and really impressed at how boujee it turned out. My regular asada tacos had some special sour cream thing on it and some GRILLED onions and pepper, and that's on top of the fresh onions and pickled peppers and all. I mean, they gave a fork with my tacos so you know that was loaded Def gonna go back if I'm in the area again.
I know this is a controversial topic in the Bay, but I've got to say, this unassuming little truck has got to be my favorite spots for tacos. The meat is juicy and full of flavor, the salsa has just the right kick to it, and the grilled onions and jalapenos are the perfect topping. Do yourselves a favor - grab some tacos, walk to San Pablo park, and go ham.
It's a taco truck in a gas station parking lot, perfect! I had a fish burrito. And it was completely delicious. The guys in the truck smiled and were pleasant. Oh yeah, and they give chips and salsa in the bag. I didn't know anyone still did that!
I just had this food today and after trying all the bestspots in the bay area I can confidently say that this is easily one of the best tacos I have ever eaten. Everyone should try these tacos and the customer service was great. Viva Mexico.
I would have to say these iz the best tacos in San Pablo Ave, Berkeley. Its purity and deliciousness is mind boggling and I would recommend this to a friend. Frfr Must try will NOT disappoint!
It's a Mexican food truck. It's really good. Hasn't given me any digestive issues. Checks all the boxes!
The ABSOLUTE best flavor spectrum in the Bay Area and beats most, if not all brick and mortar restaurants. I can honestly say that I eat here at least 3 to 4 times a month if not more, and the Asada tacos are to freaking die for.so freaking good.
Most places have hot sauces and tortillas where Roberto has a food spectrum that most don't understand, seriously.
