El Palmar Mexican Restaurant

Fast service - except not at dinner, it's very popular for multiple reasons. I usually go around lunch - fair prices and friendly staff. I would go here other than big "Mexican" chains.

Enchiladas were tasty but just a little bit on the small size. I ordered one Asada and one Chicken and was slightly disappointed it was not shredded chicken as I ordered but the chunks of chicken were well seasoned and tasty but again.just in the thin side of what I normally see when I order from other Mexican Restaraunts. The service was fine.nothing outstanding but the meal came quickly, which was very nice.
All in all. I'm sure I'll be back to try something else. It was a nice experience and the food was tasty.
Prices were very reasonable as well.

Classic Mexican cuisine and presentation. I got the Pastor soft tacos with handmade tortilla. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was great. It's definitely a diamond in the rough

(First time at this restaurant) Great service! The best service I've had from any restaurant in a long time. Great food. Kids loved the cheese enchiladas. Went on a VERY hot day, the AC here was cold, drinks came quickly.
I will be back next time I'm in town. Would recommend to anyone.

Been coming here for years it's what I would call a a diamond in the rough. The restaurant is located in the residential area of Carmichael the food is Always Good and the staff is always friendly and helpful love this restaurant if you're visiting the area it is a must-try local restaurant for us here in Carmichael California

So many good Mexican restaurants in California! And this is one of them! Good food, superb service, fair prices. A big thumbs up!

I go there for the Chili Rellanos.
Fresh and delicious.

I also ordered the chicken fajitas. Excellent portion size and reasonable price.

not another strip-mall, Mexican restaurant. You have a treat in store.

El Palmar is a pleasant find: Delicious food, nice low-key atmosphere, friendly, attentive service. The food is delicious and the portions quite ample. Locals return often.

It's worth driving past oh-so-many strip-malls: El Palmar awaits.

Excellent place to eat. Great atmosphere, staff, and most importantly: food. Never had a bad dish here, and the crispy, chicken tacos are some of the best I've ever had. Another hidden gem in the Carmichael/Arden area.

Update 5/23: Still 5 stars.

Tonight is Cinco de Mayo. Me and my best friend went to another Mexican restaurant, we were seated near the kitchen and 15 minutes later still weren't acknowledged, we left. As always we knew at El Palmer we have always had excellent service& food so we went there. We put in our name, walked to the bar and IMMEDIATELY were drinking a margarita! This is by far the best restaurant in Carmichael! Thank you to the entire family & staff!

Excellent service and food! Even on Cinco De Mayo they did their best to serve everyone as quickly as possible!

Service was excellent, and so was my steak picado. It was a busy night, and the staff was still very attentive. Will be coming back on my next trip.

Genuine, authentic, very good quality and quantity. The best Mexican food in the Sacramento area. Price for the amount of food was fantastic.

Nice place to have a meal with friends. Decent prices, good portions and food was pretty good. Can't complain.

We went here for a business lunch and the food was fabulous! Their portions were perfect. The service was excellent considering the large group we had, we were in and out of there in an hour.

Great customer Service the food was so yum. Such a nice place. The Service and food excellent.

Good for quick buy. Has some meat items too - not the variety of big stores but has essentials, included ready to BBQ beef and chicken. Market and fruits, vegetables too. Limited free parking.

The best service I've had in a long time. I'd expect this service in a 5 star Michelin restaurant. The food is great too. The Chile relleno is very good. I would highly recommend it.
