El Papucho Mexican Food

Not to bad, pupusas are good but you need to know than sometimes is gonna be a long wait so is best call to order for pick up.

The food was delicious and the service was just as good. I recommend it to all who would like some authentic mexican food.

El Papucho is famous for their Crispy Tacos. I had them for lunch today and they are delicious! I will be back for more!

This place makes THEE BEST pork and cheese tamales I have ever tried! They serve real authentic homemade Mexican food like your abuela makes with handmade tortillas and delicious salsas! Don't mistake this place for a Super Taqueria or La Vic's, this is real deal mexican food!

Oh I love this place I've been going there for God I'm going to stay over 20 30 years you cannot go wrong when you order something there their food is great and that's all I could say the lady is awesome and I would recommend for anyone to go and try their food

Great Mexican food in San Jose! It's a cozy and authentic atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The chicken tacos we had were moist and perfectly seasoned, and the tortillas were homemade and warm. Rice and beans were both flavorful. We'll be back!

My family was in from out of town we ordered 3 bowls of posole waited almost an hour only to get A BOWL OF BROTH A THIN STRIP OF PORK MEAT AND ABOUT 15 HOMONEY I was so embarrassed and upset paid $78.00 for FLAVORED WATER! IF YOU HAVE MONEY TO WASTE COME TO THIS PLACE I wish I would have taken pictures I WAS SOOI UPSET I DIDNT THINK TO TAKE A PICTURE

My preferred location for tasty mexican food. Got there about two, it was not packed. The service here is friendly. It has a nice feel to it.

Way to over priced.pupusa that I ordered tasted like nothing but masa. Meet inside was way to salty. Chicken soup for $13.way to much for a medium sized bowl. Customer service was good, but that was it.

This is the first time I have ever eaten at this restaurant. I didn't know what to expect, but it was by far the best authentic Mexican food I have eaten in San Jose. Highly recommend it.

I ordered large beef burrito
It was very bland and dry
Also ordered cheese enchiladas and the sauce was too salty and spicy

5 stars for taste and authenticity. The food is very affordable and the service was quick and very welcoming with a homie feel. For those complaining that they had to wait, homemade Mexican food takes awhile to make fresh when you’re not cutting corners. I appreciate spots like this because it means I don’t have to spend 2+ hours in the kitchen making the same thing.

Best damn Burrito ive had in a good while. Could tell it was made with the most love and care! Highly recommend y'all to go.

Great.wait, spectacular food! Service was amazing! I would give everyone a heads up.if you want food that'll burst ur taste budz, then WAIT! Takes time to cook homemade food by a mom & pop restaurant. It is NOT a freaking Jack n the crack or no Mickey Ds! Its delicious Mexican food that takes time to cook on a stove! Loved it! Bring cash fools. And don't be rude to these people either. I know how ppl be nowadays: ridiculously petty and ungrateful. Wait to be amazed. Don't crowd the place shoebiz
