Watch out for "Taco Tuesdays", it gets really crowded since they do a really good job on the tacos. Other stuffs like burritos and pozole soups are very good too. Try call in and order ahead of time in Tuesdays. Staff are very friendly. When they gets stress out, they still work with you and treat you nicely.

Can’t comment on the service and atmosphere since we delivered. Food was very bad, the pico tasted old and watery, the meat was extremely salty, and the guacamole was brown and had no flavor. We’ve eaten here before and loved it but this was very disappointing.

Great food. Good quantity of chips. Good carrots. Salsa bar available with wide variety of salsas. Sometimes parking can be an issue, but it is worth it.

Amazing Mexican food in huge portions in a local strip mall—this place got even better during and after Covid. Great seafood options too! We love their breakfast burritos—they’re huge and loaded with fresh breakfast meats, eggs, cheese, machaca, whatever you want. Their chicken rolled tacos are AMAZING and ridiculously cheap—there’s even a delicious cheap combo plate that includes a plain quesadilla and rolled tacos. Their fish and seafood tacos are great—hard to eat 2 of them—and their soups are authentic and delicious. We usually get breakfast burritos to go, but the other stuff we eat indoors in the small restaurant seating area (outdoor seating is limited, noisy and hot). I can’t believe I drove past this place for years before finally stopping in, and now we’re regulars. There are other good restaurants in the same strip mall but if you’re looking for delicious Mexican food, try El Patron for sure. Great find in Mira Mesa!

Service is good, helpful staff, tastes of food good and portions are big enough to satisfy your hungry. It gets very busy (mostly to take out), staff work fast to attend demand.

I ordered 30 rolled tacos.we really liked then alot.by the time we got home the rolled tacos were a bit soggy but they still tastes good.

The food is excellent and fresh. The service is very good also Plenty of good homemade sauce.

Chigon to eat here everything super, just because of the faces of the occasional cashier with their sorry faces. They are Rian and Be more courteous.

Second time going to this place the carne asada tacos where good but, can't say the same for the shrimp ceviche

The food here is super delicious! There are so many options that it is hard to choose. I had a chili rellano and a beef enchilada. It was excellent!

EDIT: Please keep in mind that there is a 4% credit card charge, and they don't tell you about this anywhere. It's not marked on the receipt either, so it feels almost like deception. Tuesdays tacos are just under $2 a piece. As a result there was a decently long line even at 9pm, around 10min wait max. The tacos are truly amazing, and you can immediately taste the authentic Mexican flavors. Never tasted a better taco before.

No frills, amazing Mexican food, it'll look like a dive but make no mistake, these folks know what amazing food is.

Locals and tourists were amongst those dining the night we ate here, we had the grilled fish burrito, beef burrito, a meatball soup, and more that I can't remember. Everything was fresh, hot, and very well made. Generous portion sizes big enough for two meals. Prompt service, smiles all around.

Minimal outdoor seating, decent amounts of indoor seating, but really you're not going for the ambiance.

I've never heard of a chilaquiles breakfast burrito but it was the best burrito I've ever had!

This place is great. Food is good, th3 salsas are good, and most importantly the price is good. I always order the 4 mini tacos and they are far from mini. I either struggle to finish them or I need to split them with someone else. For $10 I'll come 3 times a week just to get that combo.

I got a California burrito here and it was kinda hard to eat. The tortilla was kinda hard to bite into, the cheese wasn’t melted, and some parts of the burrito was cold. I came here with friends and two of them also got California burritos and they turned out good so I got unlucky. I’m sure it would’ve tasted good if mine wasn’t made poorly. Customer service was ok, they forgot my Horchata when I ordered. Might eat here again to retry my luck. Can’t recommend.
