El Patron Mexican Food Restaurant

Ordered two enchiladas one cheese, one beef with rice and beans and a margarita and when I got home 15 20 minutes later the food was all crumbled. The enchiladas were like and pieces like it was really old or frozen so I call the store and she said it was made fresh. This was the worst food I've ever had from a Mexican restaurant and I've eaten there before and not taking food out and it was delicious. But today this was really a waste of $35. I called the restaurant and the woman that answered said it's made fresh but if it takes time to get home, the enchiladas crumble. I've never heard that in my life but okay.

Came here a few times for take out. Each time the food was good, quick and tasty. El Patron is close to home so this is a good place for us to get good Mexican food.

A friend of mine who grew up in Pasadena brought me here. 5 star all around. We all ordered the same burrito mojado and it was delicious. If I had to knick pick the Carne asada quality, was a 4 star. The service was top notch, and all our food was out in less than ten minutes. Would recommend to anyone and would eat again.

Great food and atmosphere. A casual Mexican restaurant fairly priced and with tasty options. Be aware that they don’t have tequila, margaritas and other drinks are made with agave wine. All the rest was great!

The place was cute. The service was polite and food came out quickly. A little too quickly it seems like they may not season all parts of the food but salsa was delicious. Oh and they didn't have tequila only agave wine

Came here to eat on the weekend. The atmosphere is nice and gives a nice vibe.
The hostess however was not that great. She seated us in a tight spot and we had to move around because she complained about not being able to get through.
The chips and salsa they start you off with are great though. The chips were fresh and crunchy and the salsa was flavorful, and not too spicy.
The rice and beans that come with the combo plates are good. But the enchiladas rancheras I ordered came with no red sauce or green sauce which was disappointing to me.
The burritos are HUGE and according to my family, they were decent.
The fish tacos though, stay away from them. They microwave the tortillas and the fish is a tiny skinny breaded piece. My grandma and aunt were disappointed in that.
Also, they don't serve their margaritas with tequila. They stated they only have wine and beer. The mango margarita was still good though.
Also, I gave 3 stars because I had read a review that said they found a hair in their food. WELL, A CUSTOMER ACROSS FROM US FOUND A LONG HAIR IN HER FOOD TOO SO IT KINDA RUINED THE MOOD FOR US.

Staff is very friendly and attentive but my food was not up to par as it has been in the past. Hope my next trip is better than thus last time

The service is great. Very disappointed though. There was a short curly hair on the plate I ordered. Never going back. It was one of my favorite restaurants. Sad.

Always searching for the *best* burrito. Theirs is a winner! My 2 companions were equally impressed.

This place is a hit or miss depending on who’s working. Tonight I went to get food after attempting to give them another shot because they are close to my house they got my order wrong, so they had the cooks remake my food, they rushed and as you can see the cheese isn’t even melted and the beans were so bland no flavor at all. Their sauce is A1 tho and makes everything taste so much better

I love this authentic Mexican food restaurant. Love the service here. The owners are from Jalisco Mexico and so is my partner so I like bringing her here which she approves of the authentic flavor and I approve of the spicy salsas. Some of the people that come in can be rude, don't tip good and seem to lack culture but I don't let their rude looks ruin my great Mexican food. Best restaurant in Alta Dena and Pasadena hands down.
