El Pescador Fish Market reviews
10Knowledge staff member who helped us pick out seafood. They were a bit slow on prepping the fish and shucking the oysters though.
Great seafood market and restaurant. Lots of choices. My husband loved it so much we ate there 3 nights in a row.
Freshest best seafood. Pricey, but worth it. Their burritos are huge & the calamari sammie is excellent. Go there now!
A truly fresh fish market with a traditional yet perfectly prepared dishes every time by a very knowledgable and quick staff.
Lots of options but if you can't decide the Cioppino is amazing!
Always have to stop by whenever I'm in SD. Everything is great but I especially love the jumbo shrimp sandwich with avocado!
If you are looking for fresh seafood, this is really good place for that. Most of the foods are blend and not seasoned which I did not mind.
I ordered the clam chowder, fish tacos and sea bass sandwich. Chowder was 8/10. Very very good and you’ll wish you ordered the larger size. Tacos were very good, it’s hard to find tacos that aren’t heavy and greasy, these were perfect. The sandwich was the perfect ratio of fish to bread and the bread was fresh and easy to eat. Came here twice on our trip so we wouldn’t get disappointed. Skip the line at the taco stand and head this way.
Options given, I could have rated the place with 100 stars. We stopped by this place, right after our sea kayak tour in La Jolla coves. We were exhausted, drained, cold and excited. The place has a charming vibe. I started feeling better with all fresh grill smell as soon as I stepped in. It’s a huge fish market cum restaurant. You have to wait in the line and order at the counter. Somebody will deliver the food. It’s a pretty casual place with laid back vibe. The place is always busy. We took a bowl of clam chowder and a sandwich made with some fresh grill of some fish (Hawaiian opah), octopus, and jumbo shrimp. The fish and the seafoods are being sold by weight and then they grill them and serve according to your wish. We wanted them in a sandwich (Mexican torta style). It’s huge, and tasted terrific. Both the clam chowder and the sandwich are superlative. The difference made by the quality of the seafood, they are absolute fresh. Still it won’t burn your pocket. I absolutely recommend the place.
We just ordered takeout from this restaurant due to the high reviews. But none of that staff indoors are wearing masks. Really it’s not very comforting as cases are surging now. As for the food, the sashimi has fish scale on it…
We recently were in town over a holiday weekend and this was the place to source amazing seafood! From shark to clams to snapper this place is on point with everything they offer. In fact the place provided such great quality product that we ended up walking over daily to pick up fish that we could cook and eat at our beach house. I even ended up buying some of their merchandise and wear it proudly all around the Southwest. We plan on making it one of our first stops when we get back to La Jolla! They have been there for 30+ years for a reason!
