El Pollo Peru is a cool restaurant in San Fernando. The manager was so courteous and helped us with a free meal. It was Chicken rice and fries which was delicious. They even provides some sauce that was flavorful. The area is a bit ghetto but you know what they say. In the ghetto is the best food! They even have delightful desserts as well. Make sure to support
I'm 100% peruvian and will always recommend this spot! If I'm not cooking it myself I'm eating it here. Owner is a lovely hard working women who also is the chef
The food was delicious, the service was very good, I loved the atmosphere and with your Peruvian music, everything was very good.
First time here. Tables are a little old and we had to move to another table and we told the person that is always standing next to the kitchen. Then, Our waitress got mad that we moved so she blamed us and according to her that was the reason our food was late, like moving to another table is going to alter the kitchen time? ! Doesn’t make sense! Anyway our food came out and we eat. I personally won’t come back here. The sort and small waitress is very unprofessional and the food is average and expensive! Don’t waste your time and money here is not worth it…
Very. Good. Food!

This was my first time here with my family. We wanted to eat Peruvian food. So, we gave this place a try. We were going to order food and eat out, but we were invited inside to eat. It's a small place. There was a small stage in it, too. It was a Sunday after around 1: 00 p.m, and it wasn't too crowded, but they did have a lot of orders going out. The kitchen was clean. They took our order right away. We got chicken chaufa and shrimp saltado with passion fruit juice (maracuya). It was served with two sauces, which was cilantro based, and the other was like a spicy mayonnaise kechep. It was pretty good. We ordered food to go. The portions were generous, and the food was hot and quick! They have some desserts, too. We got the threes' leches cake and the cookies. Pretty good. There was free parking in the back.
Everything is delicious, and they are very friendly, the desserts are exquisite, it is my favorite place for Peruvian food. It is the only place where you can get Lucuma Martian.
Hearty plates, each plater is bountiful. Yes food is delicious.
Menu is the consist of Pollo a las Brasas, Selection of Chaufa (think fried rise], Tallarin (spaghetti) and Salvador (French fries) each offered mixed with choice of Beef, Chicken, Shrimp. AND vegetarian option. Salvador and Tallarin have Tomatoes and onion, Salvador have a side of white rise.
They also have Ceviche sea food
Like most pervuian restaurants they have Chicha a delicious corn based drink.
Plenty of tables
The food is good but.
It lacks authentic Peruvian seasoning, they don't have chicken chicharron.
The food was good, but I didn't think they published a menu and I couldn't find everything that says what's on it. I would have liked to try more things.
. I tried so hard to love this place.but sadly. I would say it is fair.good pleasant, engaging employees, food arrived at a decent amount of time.place is clean.outdoor seating.but taste of food is fair. I ordered the 1/4 roasted chicken lunch special. $ 6.99 includes rice or french fries.good value for money.but again taste of chicken was fair.the roasted chicken came fresh & piping hot to their credit. I also ordered a slice of their chocolate cake w/ caramel filling.also fair & white icing too sweet. I have eaten in several Peruvian roasted chicken in the San Fernando Valley.and taste of others are a bit better. BUT.to it's credit.if you are in the Pacoima area (Van Nuys/ San Fernando Road). El Pollo Peru is a good satisfying place to dine. I would come back.
Food was okay as I ordered their version of what was to be chicken fried rice. Honestly the food here is way too overpriced for the amount they serve. Very loud and noisy area and their tables were very dirty. It was my first time here and sadly it was a huge disappointment.
