PHENOMoNAL CARE! Excellent care for patients in every way. Patients are treated with the highest level of dignity and respect. Staff is attentive and nurturing without being condescending to clients. I just do not have all the words to say how happy I am with the treatment my brother is receiving. Truly a Godsend. Bless you Ranch Vista.

I have been too different facility that might have the best intentions. But be as ur not the only person they take care of. It's easy to get lost in the cracks. That's why when having a family member in one of these places. U need to try to be there every day if not every other. Just so your love ones do get as much care and attention. But this place is different. I noticed the workers taking good care of my friends mother. Which hit my heart. The experience I had here was not a bad one infact I was very impressed. Of how good they did take care of her. Trust me when I say. I took care of my mother I didn't just send her off to some place and then have the gall. To complain about a place. Especially when ur not the one even lifing a finger to help. I actually like this place. The worker really help and do there job. Which in my book is aces. So I say thank u El rancho Vista.

5 is not enough stars for El Rancho Vista! I honestly struggle to write this review because I have so much to say and don't even know where to begin.

Finding a place for your loved one is an extremely stressful job. How in the world can I ever find a place that I trust will treat my Nana with the care and dignity that she deserves? Where there will be kind people who treat her with compassion and love? Where I will be able to lay my head on my pillow each night knowing I did what was in her best interest? Where she will be safe and monitored 24/7 by an entire team of professionals?

It was a seemingly impossible task.until I found El Rancho Vista. I placed my 93 year old grandmother (with ALZ and mobility issues) for long term care at El Rancho in January. Every single human I have interacted with (even, and especially Gwyneth!) has been nothing but kind.

I have cried so many tears. Last year, they were tears of hopelessness. Since finding El Rancho, they are tears of relief and joy. As I told my Nana, I'm so happy I have found such wonderful people to help me take care of her.

If you are considering El Rancho Vista, please do not hesitate to message me with any questions. Being a caregiver is not for the faint of heart. Thankfully, El Rancho Vista exists!

This review is from a resident perspective. The reviews I've read are not inclusive of what happens after everyone while they at El Rancho. I arrived at El Rancho on the night of May 15,2023 from Beverly Hospital where I had a hip replacement surgery. It was my decision to go to a rehabilitation facility because I lived alone and wasn't capable of caring for myself. I must say wasn't happy about it and only had two choices Rio Hondo and El Rancho. Why did I choose choose El Rancho? They had a 3.6 out of 5. The most recent review was beware of GWENETH?
Never heard of her and the second most recent review said it was a psych facility. Well I asked about GWENETH and was told she was a sweetheart and bad review was based lack of clarity of the reviewer. Dementia is not pretty and has extremes. I can honestly say everyone has been respectful and friendly to me.
Upon my arrival I needed to use the restroom. I was told that I needed to be evaluated and cleared Physical Therapy (PT.) I was not happy, but understood it was for my safety. Timothy, the therapist did get to me first thing that morning and cleared me. Later that day I met with him again for more therapy. My first couple days was about getting my bearings and man they made it easy. I had therapy twice a day upper body and lower body. The PT team of Krizelle, Timothy, Julie, Sandra and Andrew kept me focused on my rehabilitation.
Each shift assigns you a CNA. My day shift CNA, was Lynsie. Full of sunshine each morning, she brought my meals and helped me get dress each day. My other shift ladies were Newman, Monica, Elizabeth and Carmen. (Not to exclude the others I just don't remember every one's name). They are angels anxious to help. If they can't get to you right away remember you're not the only responsibility.
When you get transferred from a hospital to a facility you have to keep in mind a thing called authorizations and paperwork. The insurance company pulls the strings and the facility works to accommodate you. They have Social Worker, Carina, that came an explained what was happening during this process. It gave me a sense of relief and someone talk to. I even had a postoperative appointment with my doctor that they arranged for everything and provided an escort, mine was Diana.
I spent a total of ten days at El Rancho. I had good days and so-so days. What made the so-so days better is that I discovered the activities calendar and room. I would stop in to watch videos, play games and even had my nails painted. Robert and Monica engage the residents in as much interaction as possible. They even did room visits for those with mobility issues.
I mentioned the meals earlier and just know that the food is tasty and I didn't feel the need to do an outside delivery food service.
On my last day here I had to opportunity to meet the owner of the El Rancho, David. I asked what made him get into caregiveing. He told me about his grandmother and how he wasn't happy about her care. So, he decided to be the change and El Rancho was born.
I'm happy about going home and sleeping in my bed. By the way. I live in Los Angeles.
I will miss the feeling of been cared for. El Rancho Vista Healthcare is a long term care facility. It may not be on the level of a Ritz-Carlton, however I've always gone for a nice Travelodge.
There will be a time when we all may need someone to care for us when we are not longer able. I pray that this review gives you enough information to see if El Rancho is for you or your loved one.

BEWARE THE GWENETH!
Was sent to this facility after surgery. Bed ordered for after surgery not there. Dr. Ordered turn me every two hours. I am paralyzed. Let me lay on my left side from 12 noon till 3 in the morning. Asked to transfer somewhere else. Ignored my request. Had to call 911 to get out of there.
THE GWENETH kept insinuating I wanted special bed. Told her Dr.ordered it. Very rude and unprofessional. Kept trying to twist my words.
Family member called and explained that I was attending on line courses. Could she help me get set up in room. I asked her name and she very rudely stated, yes I talked to your family member without me even asking her. I didn't even know family member had spoken to her till later that day. Asked her for help plugging in laptop to wall. Said she would bring cord. Never returned. Called front desk and in under 5 minutes was set up. All while laying on left side.
THE GWENETH was very difficult to communicate with. If she acted like she did with me being alert, I feel sorry for those who aren't alert.
I wish I could say something good about this place, but I was not there long enough.
It is an older facility. Run down somewhat.
The worst part of my short stay was having to deal with THE GWENETH and her negative attitude. She has forgotten, or is not living up to the oath she took regarding patient care and bedside manners. Horrible experience with her.
