Bar El Rio reviews
14Veronica is great. Super friendly staff. It wasn't very busy on a Saturday but I'm cool with that. DJ Baysik is always amazing and definitely brings a good crowd when he is there. Good people!
An employee was harassing me and calling me names because I told her to call someone she wanted the answers to a question too. I talked to the manager where he proceeded to state, “well you don’t live here so okay” which is not only wrong but rude aswell. Probably why they love employees like that.
Hip popular bar with good staff, great patio area and local music. Goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, even if a bit in-your-face about it. Real crowded on weekend nights with cover charge, which makes it feel like it can't decide whether it wants to be a club.
Great vibes, casual place with great drinks. Great music on a hip-hop/top 40s night. There is parking in in the lot.
A wonderful bar that has lots of outdoors space as well as indoor games such as pool and shuffleboard. Many times throughout the week there will be live music in a side room that they have setup as a concert venue. During busy days and special events there may be a small cover. Throughout the weekend and extra busy times they will open up a smaller bar outside and have food truck style food served outside. They are known for special $1 oysters on Friday's for a very limited time and also have $3 Tecates at all times.
I strongly recommend this place. You'll never regret it. This is definitely the best pub I've ever been to in Koreatown. The food is all neat and delicious. The staff are all kind. Two people are allowed to go, and there is a separate room, so it would be good for group dinner. I am sure I will visit again soon.
Very cool place and great youthful vibe. Space is open with a lot of comfortable seating. I hope they expand the menu and have beer on tap!
Great food, good beer and nice cozy atmosphere. All their brewery beer is gluten free, which is awesome. Highly recommend you stop passing by it and get some good food and brew.
Cheap drinks in El Rio can be found as well as a nice outdoor patio that's open and lively. The space is a bit dingy and grungy, but the drinks and the company make up for that. Stick to the beers, that's the best advice I can give.
It's a great bar with a dynamic and kind staff. However, I don't get the point about smocking. I mean Weed is allowed but not cigarette. Please, I need an explanation.
Cool spot. Great outdoor seating, great bartenders and socially conscience, totally inclusive a throwback by today's standard of PC neutral SF bars. No frat bro's bs tolerated here.
My absolute favorite bar in the city.really nice folks, frequently not very crowded, live music sometimes.bring your own food.great stuff.
I had a bad experience with El Rio and their staff. I will never go back. The place is not safe and I don’ t feel safe in there. They apply double standard to customers.
I had a really negative experience here on NYE. My friend lives close to El Rio and we had been planning for months to go here for NYE with our friends. We were excited to learn that they were having Mango for NYE.yay! All of the info we could find online stated that it started at 7. We showed up at 7: 15, planning to get in line but the door was closed, so I knocked. It was answered by somebody who told us that there was a "private dance party" that night; when we pressed for details and asked if there would be any general admission, we were told that there was a "private queer dance party called mango" tonight and that we couldn't come. All that could be taken away from that interaction was that everyone in the group was read somehow as "not queer enough" and therefore unwelcome. I was extremely disappointed after hearing what an inclusive space this was. My takeaway from this was that if you don't "look" queer, you're not welcome here.
