El Taquero Restaurant, San Bernardino CA

We're up in Highland there's not too many Mexican restaurants where you can sit down and eat, we stopped by and tried this establishment. It was good really reasonable prices but with that said it was medium portions. The Micheladas we're okay the horchata was really really good. There's more than a few tables where you can sit down and eat. The service was friendly and courteous, we received our meal in no time. There's plenty of parking with the handicap stalls right at the front door.

This place looks deserted lol I was in a rush so I decided to stop, place was empty and hot so I order the torta special and took my chances. I was wrong probably the best torta I had in years! It was done just perfect? I could taste every bite of the adobada meat, tomatoes, lettuce avocado etc. I love tortas and this place puts alot of shops on Instagram to shame nothing was overpowering my meal unfortunately fries were over cooked and the size drink too small other than that 5 torta

One of the dirtiest places you may visit. Surrounding the building is a distinct smell of feces. No exaggeration. Beware.

This is a cheap hole in the wall stand. The tortillas were nasty greasy and stale. I don't think I need to go any further. If your tortillas can't make a decent taco then you have no business having a taco shop!

If I can rate 0 stars I would. I went there last night September 30 around closing time. Got chicken tacos and al pastor and “quesabirrias “ tacos were so greasy and they had very lil meat. Very lil condiments. And our quesadilla had a plastic part in it. Please be careful how you cook your food. That could have been my 3 year old and choked. Luckily it was my teen daughter. And she was able to take out the plastic out her mouth. This place was good in the past, three years ago to be exact. I decided to give it another shot. And no! It was so expensive so digusting! We all felt sick nauseous after. Please save your money for a place that’s worth the money. Never again.

This restaurant is not good, the service is so bad, you order the plate and they sent you a different plate, same thing happens with some of my friends, we stop going to this restaurant, for real

Got a breakfast my over easy eggs were not over easy at all, might as well had been hard boiled eggs, if it appears I’m venting I’m really not as a consumer getting breakfast I would expect my meal to be prepared as I requested I mean it’s Eggs it doesn’t take an acquired skill set to achieve, now I like jelly on my toast perhaps it’s nostalgia and reminds me of my father he always had jelly with his toast, now I’m okay with the jelly packs that are given when you go to most restaurants however in all my years I have never experienced a jelly to be so hard almost as if it was hard butter from a stick at first I thought maybe this is a bad jelly so I opened the second now I’ve never had strawberry jelly to look as if it was grape jelly and this one was so hard you could not remove it from that small packet, I try to be optimistic and see the good in all but overall I was not pleased their restaurant is not very accommodating it was very hot inside no A/C their breakfast menu are pictures of everything they serve here reminded me as if I was at a barbershop, the price was a little higher than expected but I get it inflations, trying to maintain their doors opened I’m all for helping mom and pop shops and I will even have a second meal here just because I would give them the benefit of the doubt I mean if a place it’s not up to par with their food and then you advised them the second time you order food there should be no mishaps it gives them a chance to make things right and secondly give them a chance to please their client for repeated business in the future so I will be posting a secondary review of my overall experience with this establishment. Let’s go El Taquero let’s make this place a more enjoyable place to sit and eat for everyone to enjoy, wether your dining in or taking out, for the moment I’m giving it one star but I expect to raise that depending on the quality, freshness of my meal and overall cleanliness and service. Best Carnitas Best Torta this side of the boarder! If you blink, you will miss this little inconspicuous gem. So Eyes Wide Open for this authentic taste of Mexico on the west side of San Bernardino. The menu is extensive, portions are generous, and prices are fair. Come hungry Leave Happy. We will be back to try Everything.con cervesas 'a huevo'! ️

We all got the 6.99 plate advertised.tgat includes 3 tacos of your choice meat with rice and beans.we all got different combinations. (4 plates). We all enjoyed our food, the 5 of us.the al pastor is, something different about it than other places but it's good! Food came out quick and burning hot.we dined in.it was great.

I always come purchasing some food here. I liked the rapid customer service and well made food. Fantastic work.

We arrived at this spot for a meeting.we heard about this restaurant from many people. Well, it was very successful. The staff members were very polite and we had a great feeling. The meal was fresh and delicious. We had a great time and we will visit this place again.we highly recommend this place.

It’s a good restaurant I like the food so much it’s the best restaurant I been to I recommend it bc I am picky of food and this spot is really good:)
