Eleven Elevation Jiu Jitsu Academy

I was just passing through town for the Angeles Crest run. I was so excited to see there was a BJJ academy nestled in this little mountain town. They welcomed me in, didn’t even charge me a drop in fee and instantly made me feel at home.
You never know what to expect when dropping in to a different gym, but I’m so happy I went. As a female especially, you can get rolls that aren’t challenging enough, as men will sometimes go too light, or you can get smashed. The entire time however, my energy was perfectly matched.
If they felt I was using technique well, they’d turn up the heat. I felt incredibly respected. They didn’t assume my boundaries, they allowed me to set them for myself. As I added more skill and movement so to did they. As I struggled in positions, they allowed space and technique over weight to dominant the roll. I’m very honored and grateful they allowed me to share the space with them. If you’re in WrightWood, I would highly recommend checking them out. If you’ve never tried BJJ before, this academy is a safe and nourishing environment to began your journey in.

Amazing. Chad knows what he's doing and it is so cool watching him with the kids. My kids fell in love with it after their first class! Highly recommend!

Great coach and facility. Coach Chad is attentive and helpful during the jiu jitsu learning process. He explains techniques well to both novices and higher level students. Friendly atmosphere while maintaining strong motivation towards group and self improvement. Felt very welcome as a new student. Facility is safe and cleaned daily. My daughter and I have been training at 11 Elevation for just under a year. I’ve lost 15lbs and feel great. My daughter is getting stronger and learning a valuable life skill, while also having fun. The children’s class is accelerating daily and the students are growing fast as both practitioners and people.

I've brought my 2 children here for the last 2 years. They love it. All of the coaches are fantastic and know how to work with kids. I like this gym because everyone is very professional and the facility is extremely clean.

Coach Chad is an amazing leader and instructor. All of the classes focus on conditioning, drills, technique, and sparring. I lost 10lbs in the first 2 months and I thought I was in shape. The reason I train here is because of the emphasis on the "stand up game". Every sparring match starts standing unlike most Jiu Jitsu schools. The kids and adults are heavily trained in wrestling, judo, and jiu-jitsu every class. Most of the students actively compete and podium at world class tournaments. I've been training here for 13 months now and I'm about to do my first tournament in Feb. 2020.

Amazing gym and Coach. It’s unfortunate when someone with their own personal problems leaves a negative review when they’ve never stepped foot in the facility.
