TLDR; The mechanic is dishonest and I got separate inspections from 2 other mechanics to verify.

I came here to replace my brakes. Immediately afterwards, my car was making loud helicopter-like sounds anytime I exceeded 30 mph. I brought my car back for inspection and they said the problem was completely unrelated to their work and it was a 'coincidental' problem with my wheel bearings. They quoted me over $500 to fix it.

The whole situation was fishy, so I declined additional service. The moment I drove off, the sound was gone. Perhaps the mechanic had installed the brakes wrong and had corrected it upon inspection. Afterwards, I got separate inspections from 2 other mechanics and they both said my wheel bearings were completely fine.

I was surprised to see new faces when I went here for my recent oil change. The oil change went okay, but they were very inconsistent and inaccurate in their communication, time estimates, and price estimates (it's an oil change on a Camry, how hard can that be to estimate?).

You aren't going to see Sonny and his dad here anymore, and I think the quality of service has gone down as a result.

I’m loving this new ownership! This family business is so kind and have been most respectful to me. They performed my diagnosis well and reported everything clearly to me. The staff always kept me updated and gave me my quotes on time. My new go to shop.

A couple weeks ago my daughter dropped off her car for shaking at a full stop with a check engine light. Spoke to mechanic and obtained PO300s on 4 cylinders. It basically needed spark plugs and ignition coils to be replaced. I suppose a Tune up is way over due with around 99k mls. Surprisingly, the shop wanted to replace the whole transmission for $3,600. As the car was shaking severely and transmission is damaged per mechanic. Needless to say, she picked up the car and returned it home. They charged $160 to read the engine codes? ! I finally came back from out of town and went to Autozone for 4 Denso spark plugs and ignition coils for about $200. Replaced it myself in 30 mins. Got no further codes from my Ancel OBD2 reader. Car runs like new and daughter happy.

I brought my car to get inspected for AC problem. They charge me an hour of labor cost for an super vague, surface level and unhelpful report, only three lines of what I already know about. Ended up having to go for another shop and do inspections again, got a completely different report.
On top of that, when I sent my car over, they said they will give me a call when it’s done but never did. If I didn’t call them back right before they close the shop I couldn’t even get my car back. I asked for more details on the car, they said will call me over the weekend or on Monday, never get their call. Very unprofessional to my point.

Great family owned business! Very honest mechanics. I get my oil changed there every time, and every time I ask if the wheels need rotating. They measure them and have always said they don't, even though it would have been an extra service to charge me. That to me is a clear indication of how honest they are!

Very nice and professional. During oil change, they found that air filter was stuck and not fully covered by previous oil change from another company. Car is running quite and gains back power. Strong recommend this place.

Amazing service. Went for an oil change, which came with a full inspection. Sonny talked me through the problems they found and gave me good advice on what I needed fixed now vs.what could wait. He and his father also helped me top off my transmission fluid after I had struggled to get it done myself, which was very kind of them. I would highly recommend Elite Auto Performance for is great customer service and reasonable pricing.

Sonny was the mechanic who took care of me. He was incredibly efficient, professional, and he genuinely seemed interested in helping me make the best decision (rather than just trying to get the most money out of me!). He ran the codes of my car for free when the engine light was on, and he gave good advice about next steps, estimate prices, and checked under the hood. He ended up recommending some additional advice because I had a rodent infestation. All in all found it to be great service and really positive experience.

SAVED THE DAY! Sonny and his father were fast and efficient. I had a radiator leak happen right when we were getting ready to hit the road back to Albuquerque. I called a few places and they either didn't answer or could not remedy this quickly. Sunny gave me a complete breakdown of the price of parts, including labor. He gave me a worse case scenario time frame (as long as the problem was only the radiator). He ordered the parts and had me ready to hit the road 2 hours later! Even was able to save me some money on the time as the job took them less time than quoted! Mechanic shops just don't do this! If you are ever in Albuquerque Sunny, hit me up would gladly buy you and your family dinner and a beer! Keep up the good work!

Had to leave my car in the middle of the night to an overnight attendant who was very accommodating and got a call early next morning about options & cost. Everything went very smooth and cost effective. This is my new go to shop as long as a live in this area.

It's very difficult to find an honest, competent mechanic. Sonny and his Dad are just that and more. They are also friendly and do their best to educate you about sensible decisions.

I won't go anywhere else.

They're precise, fair, and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable auto service.

I've been taught to be wary of car repair places and have been convinced by previous shops to get repairs that were non-urgent and expensive. I am happy to report that the team at Elite Auto Performance is not only trustworthy but efficient and provides high-quality services with high-quality parts. I felt like they respected me (I'm a woman, so sometimes I don't always feel that way when in car repair places!) and gave me good information about what was necessary and optional when it came to my repair. I got a full brake job completed in less than 8 hours. A bonus is that they have student discounts! Thank you! If I ever have anything wrong with my car in the future, I'll be heading here.

This is for all of you commercial guys out there! That don't have the time in the day! This place has the Best service! Best prices! And great location! The owner and crew are very helpful and honest!
