We had a good experience with Elite. Elite raised my daughter’s SAT score by almost 200 points. The teachers are very helpful and understanding. We also signed up for the College Consulting with Joon, the director. He is a very knowledgeable and sharp advisor who has dispensed so much valuable advice throughout her college application journey. In addition, her college essay advisor also played a huge role in editing and improving all her essays. My daughter got an early acceptance from her dream school. Thank you so much, Elite!

Elite made my daughter’s dream, from when she was 5 years old, come true.
Granted, she had to put the work in and get the grades to make it happen, but Elite played a big role in putting her on the right track. Our Elite journey first began when she was a rising junior, when she took their SAT bootcamp classes over the summer. The training she received was enough for the SAT to be a one-and-done process for her, and landed her with a score high enough that she got into Stanford. We went back for SAT subject test classes, where Joon’s instruction was able to, once more, get her a stellar score her first time around taking the exam. In her senior year, Joon and Wes made the grueling burdens of applying to college more than manageable, by holding her hand and guiding her all the way through. The time she spent with Wes especially helped her figure out the story she wanted to tell in her application, and allowed her to find the voice she used to write her essays. Wes’ insight was imperative in helping her write high-caliber essays that got her into her dream school. Both individuals were honest and gave us valuable guidance all the way through, and we’re beyond thankful that she swam the brutal currents of the college process with instructors whose genius is only surpassed by their dedication and heart.

I was very unhappy with the receptionist who sits closer to the door. I agree with the other reviewer that she is rude and petty. She has no communication skills and do a good job ignoring your concerns. When you are unclear with her answer, she would show her cold face and say no without any further explanation. Then she asks you to wait and never come back to talk to you. She didn't explain the makeup policy well when I sign up. She made me think one week missed class will be made up by the extension classes (four classes). But reality is you are only allowed one makeup class (not four) for one week of missed class (five classes). When I ask her about it, she said "you can pay $600 for the extension classes. Do you want to sign up? " Apparently She knows how to not answer your question and ask for more money at the same time. Sorry. I don't pay for such rude service. I would give a zero to her if I can. I emailed Joon, the director, and got a polite reply and I think this one star is for him. In the end, I won't recommend this place.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I had a terrible experience with this place. Joon basically makes you feel bad about yourself. When I took a diagnostic test for SAT Math 2, he basically implied your good grade in the class is not substantial and the school you go to is medium level. Not only does he think high of himself and discourage students, he did not teach the Math 2 class properly and expects his students to succeed by themselves. Waste of a thousand dollars. Better to just buy books and self-study. Overall, not pleased with this place or the management which runs Elite. PLEASE AVOID. Go to the one in San Jose. Nicer and bigger. More amiable staff!

I went here for SAT class around a year ago, and the counselors and tutors were okay, but the receptionist is really rude and petty, and the main reason why I won't be returning to Elite again nor recommending it to my friends. The one sitting on the left is really nice and accommodating, but the one of the right is straight up petty. She doesn't care about what you want and has literally ignored me before when I was standing in front of her. She will say "give me a minute" to get paperwork, which is understandable, and then I will wait there for 10 minutes before I walk up to her and ask her, which is only when she will get me my stuff. That happened frequently when I went there for diagnostics or classes. Even when you ask for the simplest things, she will say "no" or come up with a lame excuse. The people around her (the counselor/ receptionist) will be like "oh I can get that for her" or "oh I'll do that", and she will just reply with a snarky "No its fine". Honestly, she should get fired.

Very professional quality service. Excellent counselors who sit with view to review your goals, your current state with respect to your goals and provide you the right advise in a non-aggressive way. My daughter went here for different areas and we have been very happy with the outcome in all the areas. Overall, very happy with the results.

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent result on the ACT, my kid took the 8 Saturday bootcamp and got perfect score.
However I wasn't impressed with the private math tutor for SAT math 2, kiddo said the teacher didn't know many questions.so ask for background and sign up for one hour first to gauge the competency.

College counselor was knowledgeable and tried to set realistic expectations of SAT test score improvement that can be expected after coaching. Overall, great experience.

When my student was not able to decide between SAT and ACT, Elite allowed him to take both diagnostic tests and fit me in with a counselor even though I did not have an appointment, when the counselor finished a meeting ahead of time. Very helpful, especially given the limited hours they are open.

I had a great time here! I took the Saturday ACT prep course, taking a practice test in the morning and the afternoon class. Definitely draining, but the teachers were awesome, so it was fun!

Great facility and management instead of online, flexibility to suit student's need even during the session.

My daughter went to the PSAT summer course. It was more of a english class than a PSAT class. However, the practice tests (ACT and SAT) were useful. Overall it is over-priced for practice tests.

Here you can pay a lot of money to get grilled in for your SATs. It's intensive and I guess it works. Don't expect amazing things though you pay money to have someone keep you in schedule so you won't slack off. The SAT are basically testing your ability to test take, and elite will teach you the instinct. Knowledge, meh.
