Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden reviews
17Stunning garden, have loved this treasure for 35 years. It was one of the first homes in Palo Alto. Surrounded by farm land and cows.
This is a single home and block size parcel of land that has been manicured and developed into beautiful gardens. It is small and manageable and filled with lots of informative signage. There are various types of small garden arrangements like a rose garden and a native plant section and formal beds for vegetable growing and various flowering plants and lots of greenery. It is beautifully arranged and even in December there were plenty of blooms to enjoy and lots of various plants to explore. As a person with limited mobility I found it easy to get along with a cane. There are also lots of places to sit if needed. Takes about an hour 2 hours maximum to enjoy the whole thing. Parking and entry for free.
This garden is free and open to all! It's small and has beautiful Christmas decorations when I visit.
Small beautiful public garden with a nice little house and free parking. Highly recommend. Well kept facility, great for photography. The house has much more restrictive hours than the garden so don't confuse the two
Excellent little shaded garden to spent an hour browsing and strolling around. Lots of flowers and green stuff to enjoy, everything labeled and easy to identify and look up.
My daughter and I had never been here, though we have lived here for decades, and their Christmas faire looked beautiful, so, we went. The home is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out, and the grounds are made up of lovely different gardens and growing areas. We found out they have luncheons and tea's and we are looking forward to going to one of these advents, as we loved this holiday faire so much. They offered so many unique things to buy both inside and outside the home. Everything was decorated expertly. I highly recommend you visiting this beautiful home, if nothing else, to roam around the lovely estate.
Such a great place to explore. Free to the public, friendly place, and has many varieties of flowers!
Nice, quiet, well-maintained little garden. It's cool! And lot's of parking nearby!
Very very beautiful garden. Incredibly maintained. Tranquil and full of areas to discover. **Perfect wedding venue; with large tree on patio, kitchen, restroom, indoor or outdoor options.
Great collection of plants! Has a bit of an English style feel to it. I had a lot of fun just wandering around looking at all the beautiful flowers.
Always like to go this garden. It is size of city block with many fruit trees, flowers and veggie. Great place for toddler to explore.
Beautiful gardens, so welcoming and relaxing. We didn't get to see the house since it is closed on weekends. But we are eager to return. This is a wonderful gift to the community.
Beautiful garden with variety of flowers. Not crowded. No grass. All walkways around flowers.
This place has peaceful vibes to it
I went yesterday, 6/17/22 and had such a good time with my mother in law. I was trying to find things to do in Palo Alto and this was perfect! The house is open 9-2pm but you can still check out the rest of the garden/2.5 acres after hours. FREE! I absolutely loved it. The house is your typical historical house and it was really pretty and in great condition. The flowers are totally gorgeous and I was dying over how beautiful the tiny little flowers were. You can find a whole variety of flowers/plants/trees and a small section of succulents and cactus.
We walked a few steps coming outside of the garden (but it was still part of the Gamble house) and we enjoyed it to the max bc it’s an area that has a huge eucalyptus tree and big rocks to sit on where you can have amazing conversations! 10/10 recommend.
Beautiful botanical garden in our own backyard! There's always someone having a photoshoot there. There are also some picnic tables, too. Can also reserve event space too. Online rates are about $1200.
At times there are plants sale stall organized, verities of flowers flora fauna, we went in morning hours, good photo shoot place
