Elk Grove Toyota – Service reviews
14Took my Lexus IS300 (Lexus is made by Toyota) in for a timing belt change and water pump replacement as well as a new drive belt. John was very friendly and helpful and walked me through everything. Thank you so much John for your help!
So unprofessional, when you pull up to any of the service centers the ignore you and then have you sit in your car and wait for a unreasonable amount of time having to listen to a bunch of workers sitting around not working talking about their Saturday nights at the club. Super awkward af next time I'm going to Jiffy lube.
I bought 5 cars from here and serviced by Toyota. Service center is getting better n better. The waiting area, amenities, professionalism. If you their say hi to Mr Ron, he will make you feel like home and advice prefect recommendations for vehicles Service. He knows what his doing. Good asset to Toyota. Thanks.
Great for new car owners since services are covered under warranty. Fast service, friendly staff, clean waiting area.
If I could I'd give 0 stars. They charged me 20 percent as a restocking fee when I returned some parts I didn't need even though the parts were not on special order. They basically charged me 20 percent which was about 80 dollars to bring the part from the back and take it back there. On top of that I paid cash and they give me a check back. I'm not worried about the check as much as them getting over on me with a restocking fee. I would understand if was an item on special order but they literally had it laying in the back. Never do business here!
Service is always good sometimes they don't give you the right time for an estimate for example that you told me 1to2 hours I waited 3.5hours
It’s been so bad lately the costumer service in Elk Grove, honestly I can wait to finish w Toyota! Bad actitud… my car was showing a need of motor service… my car don’t needed yet 2 months ago I did andddd they want to do everything again? Now I’m driving w that on my screen because they said they can turn off if I don’t do the service.
It’s very easy to get an appointment (both online and phone). Reception area is very inviting, and processing the queue is very fast. Service representatives are always very friendly and helpful. They come to your vehicle, and walk with you to reception area. They make you feel welcome there.
If you are waiting, the waiting area is sufficiently large and very clean. There is coffee available. You can use their Wi-Fi while waiting. They also have a gift shop and small scale food court for sandwiches in case you’re hungry.
Once the service is completed, the service representative come and walk you to their desk. They explain all the services done on your vehicle and make recommendations.
I really enjoy going there for service even though I have to drive about 30 miles one way.
My service advisor was Michael Lau and he was amazing. I had to take my RAV4 in for a recall check on the battery and he explained what they had to do. Not only did they check the battery but they also did a complete safety check on the car AND they got me out a half hour ahead of schedule. Michael is a professional and and also a person who listens, actually listens, to your concerns. Thank you Michael!
Worst Toyota servicing place I have ever seen. Their service people need serious customer service and basic literacy training. They pulled wrong car info on computer screen and told me that I was lying that I served my car in another dealership in the past several years plus they broke oil pen and then blamed it on previous dealership which changed oil 5 months ago. Their manager was quite combative and would not take any responsibility or listen to me
I had an appointment at Elk Grove Toyota on July 6,2021. The service representative told me that he needed to order a part and that it would be in the following week. After waiting four weeks and not receiving a phone call, I called the service center on August 4,2021. The customer service center acknowledged that the part was in and scheduled me for a service appointment. When I went to get the service, I was quickly told there might be a charge. I was surprised since I thought this was already resolved with the previous representative and the item was covered at no cost. (This was eventually resolved by manager approval.) Sadly, this (previous) representative made no records in the system. I was asked if I could identify rep that previously help me. I thought this was concerning, since Elk Grove Toyota should have the record. Lesson learn: always get paperwork when ordering materials and service and get the service representative's name. Things worsen for me after the repair work was done. I was given my key and told to get my truck in one of the parking slot (107) behind a building. When backing my truck out of the slot, I hit a pole that was behind the parking slot. I still do not to know understand how this happen. I am sick over this since my truck is new. I purchase it from this dealership in May. I have had an Acura and had a Lexus and normally the service center always parked my cars in an area that allow for easy access in departing. Normally, it is in the area I dropped off the vehicle. Sadly, I slightly dented and cracked my rear bumper on the driver's side This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I do not feel valued as a customer. I do not see myself returning to Elk Grove Toyota for maintenance or future vehicle purchases.
David Moore is unprofessional. Never had a manager tell me to go somewhere else when explaining why the paperwork for my breaks was so confusing
Terrible Terrible Terrible. I scheduled an appointment 0915. Check my car in at 0900. It's 3 hours later and my car is still not finished. All I was scheduled for was a tire rotation and a multi point inspection. No oil change needed. Terrible communication from my service technician. Who has time for a three hour multi point inspection? God forbid if they had to change a light bulb.
UPDATE. After requesting to see the manager (Victor) I was able to get my car. As it turned out, the service had been completed but the communication wasn't relayed back to the overworked service technician. Victor was EXTREMELY professional and apologetic. I got my car back and I'm on the road.
Unlike the stories I hear about other dealerships where the system of commission creates lying and conniving techs as well as service advisors to ensure they go home with a paycheck, this spot has a good system in place that generates staff who aren't looking for ways to take advantage of customers who know less. They offer what you need at prices that are beyond competitive. I used to have a private mechanic until their prices matched, now I just come here. Ty
