This practice is amazing! They are always so sweet when I call or email. The office is very clean and inviting. The doctors have been especially knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend Embody Wellness Physical Therapy.

I would love to cheer on Dr. Jennifer Parker for the kind, professional, thoughtful, and patient work that she's doing. I went to see her for a few months after getting a referral from my doctor after suffering for many years. Dr. Jenn was so kind and gentle in her treatment, she's always very welcoming and friendly, and was educational. I feel so much better now, knowing that I have the tools to further enhance my health. The office is also very clean and welcoming. Although they don't work with insurance, Dr. Jenn and Kara, the office administrator, went above and beyond and were very instrumental in helping me get my insurance refund for a good portion of the treatment. Thank you for your care.

Dr. Jenn from Embody Wellness helped me with both prenatal and postpartum care as I found traditional OBGYN care not helpful enough during these critical times. During the evaluation visit she was extremely meticulous. Throughout the treatment not only Dr Jenn successfully helped restore my pelvic floor wellness but she was also extremely helpful in preparation for labor.
I highly recommended her. Go see her even if you have no particular concern but want to learn proper labor pushing technique.

Emily quite literally got me out of a massive autoimmune flare-up for my 2 musculoskeletal autoimmune diseases (polymyositis and scleroderma). I work in the healthcare field and also have received all kinds of physical therapy, holistic/functional medicine doctors and care providers over the last 10 years, and I have to say that what Emily and Jennifer do is just 100% unique. From the very beginning, Emily made a point to say that we would be discovering over the next 12 weeks (or so) what areas in my body needed extra support and/or strengthening and that it would be crucial for me to participate in that discovery process. Every session, she was present, aware of much more going on in my body than I was, and was incredibly good at explaining to me what was going on on a muscular and joint level. She was always looking for new ways to care for my specific autoimmune needs (hello kinesiotape), and was very gentle and accommodating in being willing to alter the exercises she gave me so that I could do them at such a low level.

Through my time with Emily, I successfully re-gained almost all my strength back and more, specifically with individual muscles and joint mobility that I haven't had for over 10 years since I first was diagnosed. I thought I was coming to see her for abdominal tightness and a few muscle strengthening exercises, and what I received was proper breathing support, strength back in my arms, legs, neck, hamstrings, hips, shoulders, pelvis and more.

I was even amazed at their care for me even when I wasn't in office. I went to the ER for pelvic pain, and Jennifer called me while I was at the ER to help me in any way she could and to advise me on which tests I should have them perform. Also, she followed up with me even after in the following weeks to make sure I was doing okay.

I think everyone should see Jennifer and Emily. There is ALWAYS something they can put their magic touch on! As long as you're willing to put in the work to do the exercises they recommend and to go to your appointments consistently, you won't be disappointed.

Women are underserved in the medicine, this is a given. After having my child, I faced the "common" problems millions of women have experienced since the beginning of time. I won't bore the reader with the long version of the story, but the short version is I was told by two OBGYNs that what I was experiencing was normal, and there was nothing to be done. I am so grateful to Embody Wellness Physical Therapy and Dr. Emily for validating me, treating me with dignity, kindness, and compassion. I get emotional thinking of how many women need pelvic floor PT and don't have access. I feel such relief knowing my "common" problems are not a mandatory part of the motherhood experience. I cannot recommend Embody Wellness highly enough.

Embody Wellness PT are lifesavers among physical therapist in the Tri-Valley. Their personalized approach, client care, and time invested in understanding what matters to you (so your treatment plan is informed by their expertise) are unrivaled. My injuries happened by chance - being treated by these professionals was my choice. They gave me my life back. I don't take risks with my health, and there's no choice after my experience here. Best people, best experience, and my first referral to anyone experiencing pain or health issues. You won't regret making them your choice!

I went to see Jenn right after having my baby for an evaluation. It was really good for me to be seen by a PT because so many things change in your body during pregnancy that it was good to be reassured that everything was ok!
I was feeling very weak and with some back pain, which was making some of my daily activities really hard. Jenn was amazing helping me with some exercises that helped me regain my strength.
The whole experience was smooth, everyone at Embody Wellness PT was very nice and professional, the clinic is beautiful and very welcoming to moms and their babies (which is a plus when you are a new mom)!
I really recommend to all postpartum women to go see Jenn and Emily at Embody Wellness PT, they really know what they are doing!

I am an athlete with a focus on lifting big heavy weights (both powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting styles). I worked with Andre to rehab some knee pain (which ended up actually being caused by my hip from an old injury), and my shoulder.

He gets to the root of the problem rather than slapping a bandaid on where the problem is presenting itself, without forcing you to compromise your goals or give up training altogether. He’s familiar and very knowledgeable with what athletes need to continue training, and really helped me out!

I’ve been doing PT with Emily since September and to say it’s been fantastic would be a huge understatement. Since giving birth in April I
was aching in weird places, unsure of how to start exercising again, would pee a bit when I sneezed, and overall felt disconnected from and out of tune with my body. Not only was Emily incredibly welcoming and kind, but she is very knowledgeable and perceptive and pretty immediately identified a few areas of dysfunction that needed work. The PT sessions are SO helpful, and the exercises to do at home have been simple and doable (even with a baby at home!) and I have made so much progress. I can now exercise on my own, sneeze without fear, and can once again listen to what my body needs in terms of movement and posture. Emily continues to check in over the course of the visits to make sure you’re meeting or approaching your goals and gives great tips for long term activity and care for your body. I genuinely wish EVERY mom could have the kind of care after (and before!) birth that they provide here.

Andre and Jenn took wonderful care of me after I tore my hamstring. I was really surprised how quickly I recovered. Andre set up a training plan that I was able to stick too. He and Jenn regularly checked in on me to encouraged me and make sure I was staying on track. Andre updated my plan every few weeks. He responded to my questions very quickly. I highly recommend Embody Wellness!

Jenn is an amazing and knowledgeable PT and making the decision to see Jenn was one of the best decisions I've made!

I was recommended to see a Pelvic Floor PT by my doula when I was about 14 weeks pregnant because of numbness and/or pain in my deep PF muscles. I saw Jenn first when I was 18 weeks and she gave me lots of feedback, tips and activities to help relax my pelvic floor. I did those recommendations fairly regularly and by 23 weeks pregnant my PF was finally responding to breath cues when in pain and I could feel sensations again. It was a miracle!

Jenn is also really easy to talk and relate to, there hasn't ever been any discomfort or awkwardness at our appointments. I feel that this is super important, especially when feeling comfortable talking about such a "personal" topic.

I would highly recommend every woman see a Pelvic Floor PT because its an absolute game changer. Jenn has really helped me and she can help you too!:)

Jenn is amazing! She has helped me with pelvic floor pain and incontinence. I do not have children yet and my discomforts we becoming an issue. Working with Jenn we were able to identify what was happening… a lot of tension! With her guidance I learned how to connect to and practice relaxing these muscles which was a game changer.

Having this awareness and new connection to my body in this way has also supported me in working through mental and emotional challenges.as we know, everything is connected!

I cannot recommend Jenn enough!

Jenn changed my life. I was in so much pain when I sat that I could no longer work in front of my computer for very long. I had been to several other pelvic floor physical therapists over the years before meeting Jenn. She far exceeds any of them through her knowledge and techniques. Pelvic pain is a very complex problem needing a very experienced therapist-and that is Jenn. If you too are experiencing these problems, please see Jenn for help and get your life back.

Jenn is wonderful. When I first started seeing her I was extremely frustrated, hopeless and exhausted from the inexplicable hip pain I’d been suffering for about a year. I had basically stopped moving all together and as an ex-professional athlete and current PE teacher, this really was having a terrible effect on my mental health. Jenn helped me to understand more about my injury, heal and regain confidence in movement. Once we got to a place where she was confident that injuries were healed, She challenged me to do 30 straight days of movement, emboldening me by telling me that movement for me was SAFE and that I wasn’t injuring myself, even if I had some intermittent pain. Over the last 30 days I Have run, lifted (super light), swam or played volleyball (YAY) everyday for 30 days! I’ve still got some discomfort now and again in my hip and abs on my right side but usually it takes care of itself if I just keep moving. I’m getting more confident each day, and Jenn is always so helpful if I have a question, theory or concern to discuss with her. I’m so glad that I had a chance to work with her and would certainly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their hip/pelvic health!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Jenn since May for pain caused by endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. I wasn’t really sure how much PT would help my symptoms, but I have been amazed. Every time I go in I feel like I learn a new way that different muscles in my body are affecting my pain. Dr. Jenn goes above and beyond to find new and innovative things to try and ways to improve not only pain, but overall body functions. She takes into account my fitness goals and activity level and integrates treatments to help in many areas of my health. I would highly recommend contacting Embody Wellness if you have any sort of pelvic health issues or concerns!

I’ve given birth to 3 babies but had never seen a pelvic floor physical therapist until after my 3rd! I began following EmbodyWellnessPT on Instagram, loved her content and began wondering if I would benefit from an assessment. And now I am so glad I found Dr. Jenn! I recently visited her private office for my first pelvic floor/postpartum assessment (At 8 weeks postpartum). She was so welcoming, knowledgeable, and caring! I’ve had many appointments with OBGYNs but this assessment with a Pelvic floor PT was very different and focused. Dr. Jenn gave me specific exercises and tips for bringing my pelvic floor to optimal health and function. She also checked for Diastasis Recti and taught me breathing and muscle contraction techniques to practice. Our bodies go through so many changes during pregnancy and birth, thank you Dr. Jenn for providing this empowering physical therapy to postpartum women!
