MAKE SURE TO GET ANY TRUCK FROM THIS DEALER FULLY AND METICULOUSLY INSPECTED BEFORE AGREEING TO PURCHASE. I purchased a 2016 F150 with approximately 42,800 miles on it from EMC in July. The truck looks to be in great shape cosmetically and drove fine for about two weeks after purchase. As I was driving home from a lake with my daughter, the ABS and Service Advance Trak warnings lit up on the dash, followed by the wrench icon coming on and the truck going into "limp" mode while driving uphill on hwy 20. I had to pull the truck to the side of the road, shut it off and restart it to be able to drive home. I took the truck to a trusted local mechanic and they discovered that the rear driver's side axle shaft was damaged due to a slightly bent axle housing tube. The bow in the housing tube was slight, so it had not been noticed when I took the pickup to a mechanic for a post-purchase inspection, the only clue at that time was a slight leak from the axle housing near the wheel. The dealer agreed to pay for the replacement axle (not the housing, just the shaft), but didn't pay for labor. The owner of EMC Motors informed me that he wouldn't be paying for any repairs beyond this (no negotiation, just told me that he would not pay for any further repairs, to which I replied "Ok"). Three months after driving with the new axle shaft, it is damaged due to the bent housing tube and EMC Motors has informed me that "You both had a verbal agreement and we will no longer be responsible for any repairs for the vehicle". The entire rear axle assembly must be replaced at this point, which will cost approximately $2,000-$5,000. It is easily provable that the axle shaft housing tube was bent prior to me purchasing the vehicle (which explains why there was a leak from the axle shaft at the wheel).
*Update* The cost of the new axle housing + labor for moving the internal parts from the original housing + new axle shaft on the driver's side came to $2800. The "limp mode" issue still happens, the truck is currently at Ford for a PCM update and troubleshooting for the limp mode issue. The issue happens when driving (usually uphill) at moderate to freeway speeds and will completely shut down the pickup with the wrench icon. I have to pull to the side of the road (as long as there is room on the side of the road to pull over) and restart the truck. The codes will automatically clear upon restart, so repair shops have been unable to correctly troubleshoot the issue up to this point (multiple attempts at 4 different shops so far). Not only has this truck cost me many thousands more than the price I paid (approximate $36,000 out the door) at EMC, but it has also cost me thousands in unpaid time that I have had to take off of work during the times it has been in the shop. My fingers are crossed that the limp mode issue will be resolved because it is extremely dangerous to have a vehicle randomly shut down on a busy freeway. Another thing that I forgot to write previously is that the hood from this vehicle is from a 2018 model and the front bumper includes fog lights which have no available connections to the wiring harness and no dash controls. The carfax report shows no vehicle wreck history, which is confusing considering the replacement body parts, repainted vehicle and bent axle housing. The truck was originally ordered by an Illinois State Prison, according to the original sticker.

I flew out from Iowa and purchased a 2011 Ford F450 from here. Got picked up by an Uber and was an absolute breeze of a process. Appreciate all the help from Jim.

I bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 from this dealer. And they KNOWINGLY sold me the truck with a bad trans. They had their mechanic put a solid brass jumper where the trans relay was supposed to be in the fuse block so the truck couldn’t show any trans codes if it failed… Which it did after roughly 700 miles. The dealer admitted that their mechanic went through the whole truck and had no issues. And I know a mechanic did in fact go through the truck because they replaced an ABS module and left the receipt in the glove box. So their mechanic would have HAD to run codes on the truck and the code reader would have showed the stored history codes of transmission slippage and the truck being in limp mode. Because it currently has those codes in its history. But no active codes because of the trans module relay being removed. They cleared current codes but did not clear the history. And they either left in or installed this brass jumper so the code would not come back. Attached is a photo of the jumper in the fuse block. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS! When I told them they offered me 600$. To replace the trans is $7,000+. They are going to be reported to CalDMV, Cal BBB, Carfax, Cargurus and I will be taking them to court.
They don’t understand that they left behind a ton of evidence in what they either knowingly did to sell the truck. Or left this bandaid in so they could sell the truck.

I was in the market for a used Dodge truck and found EMC online, which had promising reviews for customer service. However, my experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, a salesperson blocked the entrance and barely engaged with me. He seemed disinterested and kept speaking to another salesman inside.

When I finally got inside, I explained what I was looking for and expressed my interest in test driving a mega cab truck listed at a specific price. The response I received was, "how would you be paying for it? If the numbers don't add up, it's a waste of my time. "

I had already mentioned that I would be paying in cash, but this response was off-putting. Perhaps it was because I was dressed in my ranch clothes, or maybe it was because I'm a woman – I'm not sure. Regardless, I left without further consideration. Even if my dream truck appeared on their lot, I wouldn't choose to spend my money here.

This review is long overdue. Worked with Jim on the purchase of a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax on 7/12/23. I came in from Seattle and Jim was great to work up to and including the purchase considering I was coming in from out of state. Test drove the truck, I took it to Loomis Diesel to get it checked out. (I highly recommend you make an appointment and see owner Blake if you want to get your diesel checked out before purchase.) Bought it and drove it back to Seattle with no issues.

Good truck. Good purchase. Good dealership.

Great example of how a Family Owned Business delivers excellent customer service. We’re so happy that we went to EMC Motors and bought our F-150. No pressure sales like those big Car Lots down the hill and great selection of trucks. Jim and his Father are a Great Team!

Had an amazing experience with EMC motors. Flew from NM to Auburn to pick up a truck. The truck was exactly as described. Jim and his guys were willing to stay late or come in on Sunday due to our flight issues.

Would do it all over again in a heartbeat! If you looking for a lower mileage truck these are the guys to look at!

Thanks for a great experience Jim!

Jim and his dad were very helpful and responsive. We had been looking for a truck to pull a camper and haul our 4 boys and dog around with plenty of room and we found that vehicle a (2005 Ford Excursion) at their lot in California even though we were in Washington State.

Jim worked with me on putting a deposit on the vehicle and I flew down the following week to test drive it and ultimately ended up driving it back home with no issues.

I would highly recommend EMC Motors if your looking for a nice used reasonably priced truck.
