Emergency Room - Mercy Medical Center Merced

Waiting room is so dirty. It's disgusting
Hospital are to be cleaned.every so many hours especially a waiting room were people are waiting to be seen for being sick.

I went in for stomach pain at 9am got blood and ultrasound. Then got a ct.they have not yet came back with the results. I ended up leaving at 6: 40 and they still didn’t come back with the results. Shout out to nurse Miya or maya k can’t really remember her name but she kept checking in on me and letting them know that she needs the results

This hospital should be closed down. Checked in at 2pm with broken leg, and pain. X-ray was done in a hour and then heard back nothing from anyone till 7: 30 pm. The nurse said all the doctors went home and will look at the results after 9 pm. Had to walk out of there. Don’t ever go there. My dad said it’s better to go home and lay in bed than sitting here. All they provide is with a $1600 bill for nothing.

So I’m here to visit my daughter and my brand new grand baby. Have to wait for security to come back from wherever they are to let me up…. Me and several other visitors. This hospital NEVER hires enough staff to help patients or visiyltors. Then they wonder why people dislike this place!

This place is extremely unprofessional, they don’t believe if the patient is in crucial pain. They also give their inappropriate opinions with so much bad attitude with the person talking to them with manners.

If I could give this awful place zero stars I would have…I was in town visiting my brother and so happens that I needed emergency help…so I went there in horrible pain explaining my symptoms and history with this issue.to make a long story short I had to leave the ER AND DRIVE home 4hrs to receive care. I was in the ER FOR 3.5 hrs and not once was I seen. About half hour in I asked for some pain meds for the severe pain I was in. Never got anything nor acknowledged. I let the front desk know 3x about my pain and discomfort to only be told I can leave if I want to. Worst hospital ever! Even worse nurses or staff. Avoid at all costs!

My partner went in due to ongoing stomach pain and walked away with a 4000 dollar bill. JUST A WARNING THAT THEY HAVE VERY HIGH RATES AND PRICES FOR THER OFFERED SERVICES. Especially if paying out of pocket

There was a really long wait, some people weren't wearing masks and seemed to be very sick and everyone was in the waiting room together!

COVID has cause us to be basically locked into our rooms after having a healthy baby boy the food sucks and cafeteria is only open to employees ur family members will not be let in without the vaccine and a lot of ur doctors here are still in training

Just a heads up, Covid patients are in basically the same room as the regular patients. Its the old security room they leave open to seat covid patients within the emergency. To use the restroom you have to go past them, when u finally get called back, u are again having to pass this open room. Doesn't make sense. Another arrangement should be made to protect patients!

Worst hosptial ever refused to help me did nothing for my issues i came in with ended up leaving same way i came in also tried to take my phone away and threanted me to shut up or they would sedate me

THIS IS THE WORST HOSPITAL! I WENT INTO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT NEARLY MIDNIGHT AND WAS IN SURGERY SEVERAL HOURS LATER. I WENT INTO SURGERY FOR AN EMERGENCY BOWEL OBSTRUCTION SURGERY AND CONTRACTED SEPSIS AND A FISTULA FROM THAT SURGERY, BECAUSE THE SURGEON WAS "DIRTY". THE SURGEON WAS HORRIBLE! DR. ALFRED JOHNSON RUINED MY FAMILY AND MY LIFE. I'VE HAD NUMEROUS SURGERIES SINCE THAT DAY DUE TO HIS MEDICAL MALPRACTICE. HORRIBLE, CORRUPT DR AT A HORRIBLE HOSPITAL. I WOULD NOT GO BACK TO THIS HOSPITAL IF IT WAS THE LAST HOSPITAL ON EARTH. IF YOU WANT TO DIE, GO TO MERCY MEDICAL IN MERCED. THERE IS NO MERCY THERE. THEY SHOULD NOT CALL IT MERCY MEDICAL. DR ALFRED JOHNSON SHOULD HAVE HIS MEDICAL LICENSE REVOKED. HE IS CORRUPT AND AWFUL! DO NOT TRUST THEM!

I was seen here on the 5th and the medicine that I was prescribed was giving me horrible side effects. I called the emergency room and I was advised to Immediately stop taking them and come back if I was feeling worse. I came back and the nurse refused to listen to what I was telling her. I told her that an ER nurse advised to stop taking the medication and she refused to listen and told me to keep taking it. I explained to the nurse my concerns and still was not listened to so I decided to seek help elsewhere. The nurses and some PA’s here are absolutely trash.

My Aunt is being treated here after she had a Stroke due to High Blood Pressure. She said she had received good treatment. My Aunt said she had a lovely dinner tonight. I live clear across the country from where you all are. It is important to all of us my Aunt receives good care. I felt I needed to write a review because there are to many nasty reviews on here. Thank you for taking good care of my Aunt.

By far one of the worse emergency rooms I've had to visit. Dignity should be completely removed from the title because I did not see the staff treating the patients with much dignity while I sat in the hall over five hours to speak with a physician. I heard the staff speaking poorly about a female patient's beliefs because she was Muslim and could only be treated by females. They didn't believe her and thought it was appropriate to discuss this in front of several other patients in the hallway. Some of the staff were standing around flirting with each other while they could have been helpful with the patients. Staff may be busy, however there were no major emergencies happening and yet ignoring basic requests from patients such as asking for blankets, for water, assistance to the restroom, help when falling out of bed seemed to be the regular occurrence. Also, some of the staff think it is funny to make jokes about not seeing a bed in years to patients who are in pain and ask about a bed. And I'm pretty sure they have completely forgotten about me.

This is the worst hospital to come if you need serious help or treatment. They will send you home, tell you nothing is wrong or they don't see anything. The physicians here are horrible, it seems like they sent all the worst ones here. I have multiple family members and friends who came here and have the worst experience ever. If you have a choice go elsewhere. The ER is horrible and will send you home to die or watch you die there.
