Great experience with Emily! I contacted her just a few days before Christmas to see if she was available for a last minute photoshoot to bring to life some ideas I had. She responded very quickly and seemed really open to my ideas!

My husband and I booked Emily for our city hall civil ceremony + an hour long photoshoot afterwards at the conservatory of flowers. We loved working with her, we (and our families) are so happy with the photos, and we would 100% recommend her to other potential clients!

We found her page on Instagram and immediately noticed how consistent her work is, especially at city hall. Emily and her team are extremely responsive and communicate everything really clearly in advance. The packages and pricing outlined on the website are very clear, and the final gallery examples are an accurate representation of what you will receive — this kind of transparency is not a given for all wedding photographers. We did a short video call to discuss details a few weeks before the big day, and we could already tell that Emily would be easy to work with.

She did a great job of putting us at ease while taking couple and family photos. If you’re a little shy in front of the camera, she’s probably a good choice. We managed to cover every spot we liked in city hall (we made a list in advance, based on example galleries we looked at), even with so many other couples and photographers sharing the space.

Her experience with the city hall civil ceremony process was super helpful as well, and put us at ease since we tend to stress about everything. She can provide tips on parking, family outfit tips so they’ll look good in photos, tips on what to carry with you inside, etc. She can also bring a tripod if you aren’t doing a video package and just want a phone video. She can provide a bouquet if you want. I think she works really hard to accommodate everyone’s needs and preferences, to keep it as low-stress as possible. The lighting in city hall is beautiful, and Emily will help you position for the best shots. She’s also familiar with many other SF locations if you want to add an additional location after city hall.

Finally, one huge advantage of booking with Emily is that her editing turnaround is FAST because she wants you to be able to share your news promptly! We got a sneak peek of about 90 photos in just a few days, and the full gallery in about 2 weeks (I think it’s 2-3 weeks in general…this is really fast). We appreciated that she gave us all the photos in the final gallery - the sneak peek included many of the best shots, and we had fun looking through the full gallery and choosing all our favorites. It’s a best-of-both-worlds way to do it. The download options for the final galleries are also super convenient; we downloaded our full gallery into Google Photos cloud storage in just a few minutes.

In summary: we’re super happy with Emily’s services! Even during peak wedding season, she manages to make your day feel special and low-stress, and the resulting photos are consistently high-quality. Highly recommend booking with her!

Emily is amazing! Everything from the initial call to getting the photos has been impeccable. From the first call, it already felt like talking to a close friend who is helping take your photos. I also appreciate how she's realistic about offering photo book services and how it's pricey so it's up to you. It's a great sign of client obsession to advocate for what's best for them even at the expense of selling more of your services. I am also grateful that her pricing structure is by location instead of factoring in time and travel distance. I wanted to get my wedding photos in Calistoga and Berkeley, both of which are quite the drive from San Francisco and each other. Before the photo day, she helped me with suggestions for hair and makeup along with chats about my outfits. She met me in Calistoga at 4 pm so we have an hour before the winery closed.

Emily had great energy and made us feel good about our fancy outfits and photo shoot. It did not feel as awkward as I thought it might be as I am typically non-photogenic. It really felt like having a friend help take photos. She spent two active hours with us since sunset is just before 8 pm in late April (the other hours were driving and outfit change). Throughout the active time, she gave prompts, suggestions, asked us what we wanted to do, adjusted my dress with the train, and much more! I really appreciate her carrying all her equipment and sometimes my bag as I had my big white dress outfit change on the Berkeley campus. We went to multiple spots on campus and she kept up with us all the while engaging us in light conversation and a smile on her face. It really shows that she loves what she does. It is heartwarming seeing how dedicated and how well this suits her.

I received samples of the photos a couple days after the photoshoot. The site is easy to use and I had a ball creating favorite lists. I received the full gallery in 2.5 weeks from photo day and it's so fun seeing all the details and reliving the moments from that day.

All in all, the sheer amount of details and moments of delight that Emily provides to her clients is fantastic. It starts from the first call and continues beyond the photoshoot to ordering your prints. I highly recommend working with Emily for your photography needs!

We hired Emily as our photographer for our ceremony at SF City Hall and she was amazing! We met with her beforehand (over zoom) and went over our expectations, shots we wanted, day of plan, etc, and she was lovely every single step of the way! Day of Emily was there before us, she did so well organizing the family shots and making sure we got the pics we wanted. 10/10 would recommend!

AMAZING photos. We worked with one of Emily’s apprentices (cheaper). My biggest concerns were angles/posing me as a bigger girl & getting the lighting right as we’re an interracial couple. I was worried at first since it wasn’t Emily herself, but Emily oversees all communication, called be before the wedding, and does all edits/adjustments to the photos afterwards. I had NO reason to worry because her apprentice- Jeremi- was fantastic to work with. I was listened to, they helped create the schedule for the day at City Hall, and I’m 110% pleased with how the photos turned out. As a planner, working with Emily was a breeze! She was professional, friendly, and put the wedding guests at ease. The couple had a pretty large shot list that she navigated through so beautifully. She was a JOY to work with! I can't wait to work together again in the future!

From start to finish, I’m beyond grateful I had the chance to work with her! Emily’s Client Happiness Manager Katherine was super detail oriented and helpful with hair and makeup referrals. Emily is a GOD SEND! By far the most beautiful photos ever taken and I've always hated photos of myself! Even my fiancé loved the photos and he hates taking pictures as well. We are both very camera shy and extremely uncomfortable in front of the lens and for her to be so friendly, it really allowed us to enjoy each other and have fun taking photos.
