All the negative reviews here should actually be directed towards the freight forwarders they used. Seems like there was bad communication from the customs broker or the freight forwarder to the customers. Importing involves many fees AFTER arriving to the port of arrival, and it's up the the freight forwarder or the customs broker to educate these first time importers. I do agree that the rates have went up insanely over the past years, maybe 2-3x more than three years ago.

My experience with Empire CFS has been great. They have a fast response time with releases and in the end, you just need to know the process.

For any first time importers, I highly you ask your forwarder/broker questions regarding addl fees so that way you won't get any surprises when picking up your shipment.

I really admire they need actually “paper work” in the hand or they do not load u up, old school way, Excellent! Thumbs up for theirs boss, as a long haul truck driver, I feel so ashamed to check in without typewriter in 21st century, keep it up!

While you live in 2022, they live in 1988. They accepted only printed paperwork. You can’t send them email, you can’t print it on their facility (I’m ready to pay). So you should go to nearest fedex on semi truck to print 1 page for pick up.

My team only picks up LCL shipments from here.

My shippment was delayed for week, and no eta was provided, never ever use them, they can ruin the business.

They expect the drivers to have a printer in the truck when picking up loads, they will not help nor print anything to assist, but they will charge fees.

After reading all the reviews I was a little concerned but my outcome was way different the personal was awesome an the loading was in a timely manner in an out in just under two hours awesome job guys

You have to come with your paperwork printed otherwise they won’t let you load

Arrived at 9 am on a Friday afternoon to pick up a small order (a pallet of approximately 700 lbs). The security guards directed me to a pickup location and showed me where the office was. Handed them my paperwork and was delivered my products in under 10 minutes. Staff was helpful and friendly.

I don’t recommend this place for pick up the guar the check saying we gonna call when we got the dock but they never gonna call you avoid this place

I would leave a negative review if possible. We shipped some antique doors from Indonesia and had paid for insurance. Sure enough when they shipment arrived, one of the crates were clearly damaged by a fork lift at CFS warehouse. Sure enough once we opened the damaged crate, the art work was cracked.
Filed a claim and waited for MONTHS, and was denied as they claim they didn't do the damage despite having photos of the damaged crate at their warehouse.
Susana Maximo was the manager we were dealing with and she has provided the worst customer service ever.
This company is sham and stay clear of these people.

I work in this place.we always do the best to handle with so much care the merchandice.but so many times the merchandice been shipping without protecctions. /the company can't do much on this. Shippers shall be responsibles on this matter.
