Empire Veterinary Clinic reviews
21Terrible they promised to not take my dog but did and sent her to the pound. The pound said she was mine and they had no right to do that but I still had to pay them to release my dog.
We are very pleased with Dr Sue and her staff are winderfuwonderful! They are very friendly and caring.
They were wonderful in taking care of our cat. I can’t say enough good about them. The entire staff was extremely responsive and professional and my cat is doing great.
I took my dogs there because she cries out at night when she adjusts her sleeping position they didn't do anything for her and I wanted to get her the flea and tick protection they're really expensive stuff that's supposed to work like a charm well I gave it to her and now she's scratching even more
Great veterinary doctor. Takes time to explain.
Still a great veterinarian as per my first review. Takes time with your furry family member.
I'm a first time cat owner and the staff made me feel like I chose the right place. I elected to get the kitten package with shots and tests necessary and they sent me home with a nice care package. Awesome experience here.

As a certified veterinary assistant I am so disappointed in this clinic. Large dog owners beware. If your dog barks they most likely will classify your dog as aggressive. I am so disappointed in the quality of care my dog got. My dog was obviously anxious (panting a lot) when two vet assistants approached him he barked at them, I’d admit it was loud and could seem frightening but they were not friendly at all, didn’t say hi or nothing, literally just walked right up. After the bark they were quick to tell us that they were worried for their safety and wanted us to wait for the doctor to sedate him and walked away (he was getting neutered). Not even a min later the receptionist came up with a friendly voice acknowledging my dog and my dog approached her very friendly and she even told him to sit and gave him a treat. (Perfect example) She even took him to the back and he did perfectly fine. No growling, not barking, just a whimper when he would look back. They all came out and stayed with the conclusion that they didn’t want to risk it. Mind you my dog has not barked again. So we leave, when we come back they take us to a room to sedate him. Still no acknowledgement of my dog, no greeting nothing. The Vet comes in, in such a cold demeanor. She didn’t even introduce herself to us, didn’t even say hi to us nor my dog. The assistant told us to muzzle and restrain my own dog. When literally they’re was a sign on the wall stating “for your safety, our staff will restrain your dog”. When we came back to pick him up they told us to go in the room to pick him up. He was alone unsupervised and without a cone. They handed us the cone with no instructions.luckily I’m a certified veterinary assistant so I felt comfortable restraining him and putting on the cone but to expect that of your clients is plain out ridiculous! And No they did not know I was a veterinarian assistant. I did not feel comfortable with the staff at all. They only person I felt that actually cared for my dog was the receptionist. I will definitely not be coming back until I see a review that shows otherwise.
Escorted my neighbor who was having her very seriously ill dog put to sleep. They were caring, kind and professional
Hey these people been taking care of my dogs for over 15 years and giving them longer life's than anybody I know. Yea for Empire Veterinary.
Dr Sue is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about her patients! Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and kind. I brought my dog to this vet after a bad experience at a different local vet. Moving forward I won't be taking my fur babies anywhere else!
Easy booking and were able to get the tick bite taken care of. My boy is all jumping around once again. Thank you.
Even when we briefly moved back to Madera, we made the drive for our pets to see Dr. Sue. She and her staff are phenomenal! They are very personable and truly care. Miss Peewee always got the best of the best care. Even with her help crossing that Rainbow Bridge.
I love this vet office! The staff are all amazing and Dr is helpful and knowledgeable. Your pet is not taken into the office without you as many vets still do. I am one who likes to have a conversation with my girl's Dr.
The employees and the doctors there were so kind and courteous and friendly we had to go in to have 2 beloved dogs put down. And they could not have been kinder
This clinic help my mom, she had to put her dog to sleep, I referred her to them because years ago they were my vet office and I thought they were very compassionate and helpful with my pets.
A great doctor and staff. They’ve helped us with a number of issues as well as preventative care. Thank you.
A state-of-the-art facility with a family run environment. You couldn't ask for more.
We love it here! We only take Rockstar here because they treat him like they genuinely care.
Dr Sue has taken care of my fur families for years. She does a great job, and really cares for the pets, as well as people!
I had a great experience here. They were very pleasant unlike the vet on the west side of Yosemite ave.
