Emporium Thai reviews
17Not bad. Food was pretty good. Dumplings very good. Had Thai shrimp with noodles and it was pretty good. Food was hot. Service was excellent. I would go again.
Is it the worst Thai? Not at all.
Is it the best? Definitely not.
Will I come back? Ehhhhh
The pad Thai was tasty.
The tom yum was meh. Paid extra for a few small pieces of shrimp. The shrimp was meh.
Got a curry and meh.
Maybe if we doused everything with deathpeppers it would taste better
I’m surprised by the ratings?
Very pretty inside and nice atmosphere. Service was quick and they staff were all very friendly. My bf and I ordered the fresh rolls with chicken and we both had the yellow curry with duck as our entree; the food was all extremely fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Everything was very reasonably priced as well. We had a great time and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you!
Best Thai food in Los Angeles. John, the proprietor makes you feel very welcome. Excellent ambience.
A must try restaurant in Los Angeles. Try the family recipe curry called Southern Curry. Also Thai Basil and Crying Tiger Beef with Sticky Rice.
Raised the prices ro fancy. But they're not fancy. Add an extra 20 minutes to pickup time to whatever they say
I've been to all the Thai restaurants in town and Emporium is top of the list with fresh natural ingredients, nothing artificial, and old world recipes. The wings, mango salad, and green curry are some of my favorites. The cauliflower fried rice, made with pineapple and shrimp is also delicious!
My favorite place to eat with my friends for a night out. The atmosphere is welcoming and the waitresses here are helpful and very friendly. My personal favorite is the pad see ew with shrimp, but you can't go wrong with any dish from here. For desserts, I highly recommend the Thai Donuts, especially since it isn't common with other Thai restaurants I know. Will definitely be coming back here again!
This is definitely my favorite restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf. Absolutely beautiful views of the water and wonderful service. The food is delicious and I am very happy whenever I get the chance to eat there. I often request a table by the window and I always get accommodated, even if I have to wait a little bit it's totally worth it!
A huuuuuge note I have to make is that I work at a hotel that is walking distance from fisherman's wharf and the restaurant and I recommend this place to every single person that asks for a good seafood restaurant in the area.one couple that came and stayed with us even got engaged there! So far five different groups of people have come and raved about the food and the service and I'm super dang happy whenever I hear that! I'm/we're not affiliated with the restaurant whatsoever, i just like spreading the good food + good vibes:)
This place was amazing. Fantastic food. Dumplings, Pad See Ew & Thai Donuts a must! Incredibly Friendly staff. 10 stars
Every dish was excellent! Food is authentic but the ingredients feel high quality. All the curries are excellent. I had the masaman curry which was spicy with slight sweetness. My friend had the panang with beef which was excellent. Soft shell crab appetizers were great. Service is friendly and quick. This is one of the best Thai places in town. Highly recommend. Excited to go back!
Great Food, Caring Family Service, this is the REAL meaning of Family Restaurant! I reccomend Gluten-free Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Sate and Duck! Yum!

We had three dishes. Only the Massaman Curry sucked. The waitress asked if everything tasted good but didn’t do anything after we said the Massaman Curry was really heavy on the Chinese 5 Spice. The flavor was off.
It's more than just fresh, vibrant flavors here. We love the place, the warmth of the owner, John, and his family. We love the comfortable, tasteful decor, plus the new outdoor section which is perfect for pandemic dining, or just for fresh air. But we also come for.the special family recipes! The unique version of Thai curry that we can only find here, the crispy duck, the spicy eggplant, and the amazing desserts that you won't find at other Thai places. Cardi B comes here and loves the mango sticky rice, and we agree. And treat yourself to the Thai donuts sometime. Wow.
Honestly loved the food the first time i went there.ordered again recently & what a mess!
- they were super late with the order
- once we got home, we realized they gave us meat instead of veggie dumplings
- when i called to dispute, i had to ask for a refund (they wanted me to walk back to get the correct order! No thanks)
- & now 10 days later, still no refund, so finally disputed the amount with the credit card company directly.won’t be back.
Overpriced, terrible flavor, and given the run around to get a refund for a wrongly prepared dish. Not too spicy, ridiculously bland for spice level 3 and missing key ingredients I paid extra for.
